Works great. Fills up fast, which is exactly what you want. The bugs are not always dead though, so watch out when emptying them. Makes outside areas usable in the summer. The volume of bugs it catches will quickly collapse the population in the surround area. Very quiet, especially for outside use.

This is amazing! Low noise, not bad to look at and it does what its supposed to do. We got it due to a mob of flies always circling the same area on our patio but i never knew how many bees, wasps, and moths were out here! No more gang of flies ! Totally worth the money

I got this to kill mosquitoes. I only ran it one night because I found that fireflies got into it. I don’t know if it works for mosquitoes but it definitely attracts anything flying around.

This this is amazing. I tend to catch more moths and some mosquitoes rather than flies. I love how easy it is to empty, but my birds love it more. No chasing bugs, just free food.

I had this gizmo on for 3 days on my back porch and checked it today. I live in north Texas with BIG bugs and spiders. I saw the solar version of this DynaTrap on sale at Costco and read the poor reviews. Many reviews recommended this electric version, and I can see why! After 3 days the trap was full. Moths, beetles (I think), mosquitoes and some other insects I am not familiar with since I just moved to TX. I was hoping it would catch flies, but am just glad to see how effective it is with other insects! Super easy to use. The power button was a bit tricky because it’s covered by a rubber bubble, but the noise level is surprisingly low! Mine is not hanging, it’s placed on a table on my back porch. I recommend it!

The unit works as described, the issue is that it needs to stay on 24 hours a day as the fan is what kills insects by continually keeping them under pressure and unable to escape. The fan also dehydrates the insects and they slowly die (and possibly by an agonizing death). I just wanted people to be aware in case that’s something that matters to you. I am not a fan of mosquitos and thats why I purchased the device but it actually catches moths and other bugs more than anything else. I think I will eventually buy a good big zapper that kills instantly.

These flies straight laughed at this trap. I bought this specifically for fly control. Anything larger that a small moth cannot be inhaled by the fan. Works great for light flying insects, but has no effect on flies or anything larger than a lady bug. Way too expensive for what it is. Overall its very easy to use and clean, just plug and go but its ineffective at trapping flying insects other than moths. Yes I did hang it per the instructions and I gave it overnight. No flies. I set it on the chair where they congregate, still no flies captured. They just sat on top of it and laughed at me. Overall not worth the money unless you want small moth control. I still have reservations about how it does with mosquitos as well as none were visible in the trap either.

The Dynatrap DT1130SR 1/2 Acre Mosquito Trap definitely takes down some midges and mosquitoes. Pros: - Good for ongoing maintenance after knocking the population down - Easy to set up and run continuously - Covers a decent area Cons: - Not a miracle fix on its own if you have a heavy infestation - Will catch some beneficial insects too I recommend combining it with Cutter spray sessions to reduce the population first, then use this as always-on maintenance. Solid tool for backyard mosquito control. Would I recommend? Yes, 5 stars when used as part of a strategy.

This Dynatrap device came delivered with only a US-120 volt power plug, hardwired all the way. So no way to change the cord or use local adaptor for 220V which is the standard here. Nowhere does it indicate voltage options on its external packaging, nor does it state anything regarding required voltage in its documentation. Honestly surprised if this is even legal to sell in EU, as plugging it into 220V by changing the plug itself to EU standard will cause instant blowout/burn if plugging it in.
