I have this to say about all of the reviews you have read about headphones, they are all true both the good and the bad ones.What you have to decide is the scale by which they rated these items, their ability to follow instructions, how much common sense they have and what is their tolerance level.GOOD: The phones work as described, are relatively easy to use, provide good sound quality. If you are hard of hearing they are even better.The first time you use the phones you may have to work with them to tune in the wireless transmitter from the TV but it is not impossible.Also don't panic if it goes off station, just follow the instructions. HIT RESET, HIT TUNE, it should find the wireless transmitter with just one click.BAD: The battery cover is poorly designed, they have concealed it so well you can't find it without a magnifying glass and since they don't tell you how to open it you may damage the headset. HINT: on the head phone opposite the controls you will see a small indent in the middle of the head phone, push some sharp object into the indent and slide the cover off. Be careful you can break it.The HUM some talk about is because they have good hearing and a low tolerance to white noise. I am hard of hearing and because of that I don't hear the humming. So if you are an audio aficionado don't buy the head set.

Wireless Headphone may be cheaper than most, but work just as good. Love to hook them up to my tv and listen to channels with the tv turned off. It works good as a radio as well, so can listen to several local channels. Just press scan to go from one station to another. And press reset if the connection to the tv is lost. It feels very comfortable and is super well made for such a low cost device. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to have a great wireless headphone that will also plug and play without need for batteries into a laptop or computer as well.

I guess I need to read the description better next time. I was thinking wireless meant bluetooth. I have learned my lesson. I only like them when plugged into my phone. They aren't bad for the price. Hated the long delivery, but I brought them using a gift card. So, i really didn't waste any money. But, I will know better next time. Still have to try the wireless with my TV. Hate how they use batteries. I use to most gadgets being rechargeable.

This would not connect with my TV. I even bought the adapter to try that but it still didn't work. Its like the emitter wouldn't connect to the TV. It was so frustrating, I tried everything and all I could get was radio. Avoid this one, its a waste of money.

I highly recommend these if you have a loud house full of crazy daughters because silence is golden. They are not super durable but at this price who cares. I love this product.

They do amplify the sound on the television, but if you accidently press one of the buttons you have to do a reset and search again. I bought them for my Dad and he couldn't do the reset each time he picked them up, and they wouldn't stay set for the TV. I finally gave up and got rid of them. For the price, I guess I got what I paid for. I wouldn't recommend this particular set to anyone.

Update!!!Seleer refunded full purchase price...Came in damaged box, Product seemed fine, no cracks, no scratches, but internal wires or switch defective can barely hear TV at full headset volume, sit and wiggle switch for 5 minutes and might get lucky too get normal sound for 5seconds at best. But the seller is willing to refund me a whole $5 ???????? Wow!!!!!

Sound quality is as good as can be expected for such a low priced headset (matter of taste). More importantly signal is stable and rarely crashes (during sudden loud noise, for example)... However, a downside is needing two pairs (a first for me) of batteries: one for the head set AND the base, but power seems to last quite a while. Very lucky given that I have had very lousy luck with three more expensive (head set that easily breaks/cracks) head sets in a year and a half!

Buttons don't appear to be a responsive as expected, really have to push on scan button. Everything else seems ok so far.

It just doesn't work, very poor instructions. Avoid.
