I selected this crystal ball on a whim with the intention of using it for creative photography. This is my first crystal ball and so far I am very pleased with it, especially considering the price I paid for it.I will start by saying that if you are planning to buy a ball like this one, keep in mind that these have some heft to them. There are different sizes available; choose the size you need, and plan accordingly. Some will find this particular ball unwieldy (80mm) while others will want an even bigger one.The product listing states that this ball is flawless. Mine has no scratches, no chips and no bubbles or impurities that can be seen with the naked eye. Looking through it very carefully, I did not find any swirls either, which was a concern I had before I got it because such distortions could ruin any pictures I took. Now, it does distort slightly around the edges when taking pictures through it, but that is to be expected, especially when the depth of field is too shallow.My ball came with everything specified in the listing – a carrying pouch, a small stand, and a cleaning cloth.I would really only change one thing. It would have been nice to have a tripod mount for this ball in the package, even if it drove the price up a bit. Oddly enough, most of the reasonable tripod mounts for balls like this actually cost more than the ball itself.For the price (just shy of $16 as I write this), I am very happy with this ball. It works as a creative photography tool and it is clean and clear enough to be an attractive display item. I have not worked with other crystal balls like this so I have no basis of comparison; that said, this is a very affordable and well-made ball that is definitely worth its asking price.

This is a very nice ball. I use it for scrying and it seems to do the job, although I’ve only used it a couple of times. It is a little smaller than I thought, but that is on me… I did not read the dimensions. It is, however, very sturdy. The base is very nice, and it looks really pretty. The smaller size actually means it fits better on my altar that a larger one would. I wasn’t paying attention, yet I did myself a favor, anyhow. 😜 it is a very nice product, and I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I have been into amateur photography for many years now and was very excited when my teenage son wanted a DSLR for his birthday this year. He has a very artistic flair to his photography and I thought a photography ball would be a great item to allow him some additional ways for expression. I attached some pictures that he took on his first day out with the new photography ball. The ball seems to be exceptional quality. It is very clear and does very nicely in shots. My ball came with a base, carrying bag and a cleaning cloth.This photography ball is outstanding and makes a great gift for any photographers in your life. My son loves his and I have been using it myself, so I will probably get a second one to keep in my photography bag. Wish I could do 4.5 stars based on quality of the ball and meeting the advertised expectations. The stand holds the ball petfectly, but dip is understandably shallow. You definitely need a steady surface to place it on, a vibration could send it toppling. I’m low on the learning curve on how to use it, but it’s fun trying! Be careful in any instance where bright sun is shining through!!! I took it out right when I got it. I laid it on the polishing cloth in my hand and was attempting to take a picture of a flower. Saw a wisp or two, and thought it was dust. Then the wisp got bigger, definitely smoke. Thought I caught the flower on fire. Nope! But I did melt two holes in the polishing cloth. 😳 It is a dust grabber, but some glass wax helps with that, and makes it shine even prettier. My next goal, now that I’ve learned a fix for dust and how not to light things on fire, is to either manage glare or learn to work with it. 😁

I don't think you could get much better for the price. My dad is also a professional photographer; after using this ball a few times, I ordered him one for Christmas too. It is so much fun and takes truly unique pictures! The quality of this specific ball is great, no imperfections and the cleaning rag, stand and pouch are all good quality. I have used it in numerous settings, including on rock, and it does not get scratched. Definitely a must if you like playing with photography!On a side note, it is a bit heavy to tote around, but I just switched this out for my extra lens I normally carry with me and it wasn't too bad. We are headed to Columbia, South America, here shortly to backpack through some dense jungle (the Amazon)... I plan on just using its little pouch to carry it and stash it in my hiking backpack. I feel confident it won't break and won't add to the weight too much. Definitely wouldn't go larger or smaller in size though, this size is perfect!

Bought for my beat friend who is a talented photographer. While this maybe doesn't fit her usual photography styles, I just know it will open up her excellent creative side and she is going to make some amazing photos with. What makes me happy about the produce is that it shows I have cared enough to find something personal to her, but it is also a beautiful display piece even if she decides not to use it for photography! The stand provided gives it an elegant look and would be suited I'm any room. It arrived well packaged in a nice box with a cloth for cleaning and handling. After a lot of looking, it was clear that the ball is completely imperfection free! Something I worried about before purchase. I would recommend this as a gift to any photographer in your life or even just as a display piece for people who are not. Great present!

Die Kugel hat eine perfekte Oberfläche. Sie ist total undurchsichtig schwarz. Selbst in den Randbereich konnte ich mit einer Taschenlampe kein Licht erkennen.
