Nice helmet
I have been snowboarding since 1988 and have never been one to wear a helmet. Decided I probably should change that and ordered this one to give it a try. Was quite surprised at how comfortable and low profile it is. Has a few adjustments to make for a great fit. It is also very warm. Overall, I'm very happy with this helmet and will no doubt keep wearing it while riding.

Awesome helmet. Great deal.
As a beginner snowboarder, this helmet has probably saved me from 3 concussions. The adjustable interior allows you to switch the size conveniently with just a few clicks depending on if you're wearing a knit cap or not. I'm in between a 7 3/8 and a 7 1/2 baseball cap size. I will usually buy a 7 1/2 and let it shrink to my size to get the perfect fit. The Surface-S Large is a great fit for me. The grey matte finish also looks sweet and the bill provides a little style. The goggle strap on the back is much sturdier than some of the flimsy straps i've seen on other helmets. Added bonus: I live in a cold weather city and ride a bike everyday. This is a perfect cold weather bike helmet with the built in ear warmers and doesn't look as dorky as the normal bike helmet.

Sweet helmet that makes people take me very seriously when winter biking
I decided I would get a "snow helmet" instead of a conventional bike helmet for winter biking due to the sheer drop in temperatures here in Minnesota. It's only November, but already I know I made the right choice with this thing. It's an absolutely perfect fit for me in large, and though I wanted the normal straight up black, the "black beachcomber" is an excellent second choice since it's often cheaper (and who really even notices the slight texture on the back when I fly past them in the winter darkness anyways? haha). The earmuffs are super nice and I've found this unit to be very compatible with balaclavas / face masks of all sorts, from the cheaper Chinese-made ones all the way up to my nice, warm schwampa warmskin (which seems to be just a touch too warm each and every time I've used it, though again, I haven't hit the coldest months yet).I was surprised at the level of detail on this unit. Once you properly customize the fitment to your head, you'll enjoy putting it on. My goggles might still fog up, but that's because they aren't Gyro (they're Smith OTG Knowledge, a bit too expensive imo), and the fitment near the top where the fan vent is doesn't completely work, as this helmet cuts the normal flow of air a bit short.I don't really care though. I feel like a SWAT/counter-terrorist in this thing and that's pretty awesome. When people pull me over to "show me who's boss" because I'm "in the vehicle lane" in sub-zero temps (usually because of huge snow plow drifts or cars on the side of the road or for visibility reasons or because you get flat tires by riding in the shoulder or 100x other reasons) I will just stare silently at them, breathing hard, and I think that should be good enough to scare them away...hahaha. Happy trails everyone and remember to share the road - just pass us quickly if we go too slow for you!

Good overall helmet
While it's an older model helmet, ive been using it for snowboarding, cycling, and paddling in the summer. Great multiuse helmet with nice features like the brim which gives you a little shade and make your goggles appear closer to your head. There are a few caveats- the goggle holder screw needs threadlocker on the bolt as i found thay it was falling off after a few days of boarding. After a few seasons, the helmet foam started to become loose and detached from the outer shell. This required some quality double sided tape in a few areas and the problem was solved. The clasp is nice, the straps are too. The ear muffs are removable for paddling (kayak or Stand up paddleboard) so they dont get soaked. The ear muffs are nice to have at speed since they muffle wind noise, though they can be warm riding a bike in the summer.Might not be as safe as the "mips" advertised helmets but should keep your head from splitting open or bruising your brain too badly.

Perfect so far!
Just to be clear, I have not used this helmet in the field yet but from what I can tell so far, this helmet is great especially for the price. The matte tank color is unique and the fit is very good. I did feel some pressure points when the helmet fit system was not tightened. After tightening, the fit felt great and seemed to comfortable for hours. I am using the small as I have a smaller dome and wanted to make sure my helmet did not wobble on my head. The front visor is intended to help block some of the helmet-goggle gap that can occur and should help keep my forehead warmer. It also acts as a deflector for tree branches. Seems to vent well and has nice padding for your ears which also act as in-helmet speaker applications. Speakers are not included with this helmet. The back clip works well for keeping your goggles from flying off your helmet when you take a harsh crash and burn on the mountain. Love this product so far and cant wait to use it on the mountain.
