They grab the whole leg under the calves down to the to all the toes! There are no seams that cause blisters on the down side it all your toes . There is a comfortable compression and the socks stay up. Below the calves. It is creative wool and polyester combo. It hugs your lower leg and entire foot . My feet feel so much better ! They are thick luscious warm and breathe all at the same time until you take them off.

These Socks were purchased for my husband. He says they are comfortable, warm and stay put! I did not realize they were supposed to be hand washed, as he ordered them, until I was searching for new socks for myself! He liked these so well I will be purchasing some for myself! I wash them, on a regular, cold cycle in the HE Washer, followed in a regular cycle in a HE Dryer. They have not shrunk; nor lost their shape in the least. We highly recommend these socks!

These socks are very warm if a bit rough feeling. They have support in the arch and seem well made, but I'm uncertain how they will hold up over time. I have worn them for a few weeks and have laundered them a couple times. They come out of the wash better than expected, but a few stray threads had to be clipped off. I think that my one quibble with the socks, the scratchy feel, may be mitigated with repeated use and laundering, we shall see. They are definitely warm, .and if that is the primary criteria by you are judging your decision, look no further. A great choice for a whstm winter sock, these are a great value for the money.

My feet always get cold. I live in maine. The socks do not really shrink. The color is nice. Good value for the money. Hopefully they hold up.

These are very comfortable.Well made and fit as expected.

The socks seem great, like them a lot, but the description is deceptive. It says in description 4 pairs, what I received were 2 pairs. Either it should say 4 socks or 2 pair. Not the value I thought I was getting for the price.
