- Bentonite Clay is made out of volcanic ash and is packed-to-the brim with minerals. Since it has a negative charge, binds to and removes toxins from your skin. It's great for exfoliation, unclogging pores, evening skin tone, softening the skin, encouraging cellular regeneration, clearing up breakouts, and so much more.
- Activated Charcoal is a great detoxifier because it is incredibly absorbent. Like bentonite clay, it also has a negative charge that attracts toxins and removes them. It absorbs bacteria and pathogens that contribute to breakouts, gently exfoliating, extracting heavy metals and impurities, and reducing inflammation.
- Add your favourite ingredient to this mix to make a powerful cleansing mask suited to your skin type and needs. Make sure you do not use a metal spoon or a metal bowl when mixing your activated charcoal and bentonite with other ingredients. Metal spoons and bowls will react with the clay and charcoal reducing most of its healing properties.
- Apply the paste to face, neck, chest - anywhere you need it. Let sit for 20-30 min. If/when it starts tightening and pulsing, don't worry - the magic's happening. You can also add this mix to the water when you're taking a bath, it's incredible for whole body detoxification and skin softening.

We have combined the highest quality cosmetic grade Activated Coconut Charcoal and cosmetic grade Calcium Bentonite in a 50/50 proportion. Add ingredients of your choice to make a powerful face mask: water, apple cider vinegar, yoghurt are some examples, as well as a few drops of your favourite essential oil if you wish. It is important that you mix the ingredients in a non metallic bowl and with non metallic utensils as metal will remove the negative charge that is key to cleansing. Let the mask sit for about 5-7 minutes or until dry. You will start to feel it tighten as it dries. If it starts to feel itchy or uncomfortable, wash it off immediately. Wash off the mask with some warm water and gently pat dry your face. Apply your favourite face oil or cream. Activated charcoal is just that - charcoal. So it makes everything BLACK. Keep the charcoal away from your clothes and sink as it can stain (but it will not stain your face).
