Works Great
This is a sturdy and convenient trap. You can take apart the trap into two halves for easy storage. First time I used it I caught about 15-20 crawdads in the Sacramento River. So it does work. . . it all depends on the amount and type of bait that you put in the trap. For the price, you can't beat it. The only thing that I wished it had was some sort of line or rope that you can attach to the trap. You will need to buy the line separately. I attached the line to the clip that came with the trap.

Great minnow trap
I just used the minnow trap for the first time .It worked amazingly well ,the first time I caught over 30 minnows in less than 10 minutes. All I had to do was put a little piece of bread in the trap and the minnows just absolutely destroy it.I have two ponds on my property, one that I just stocked and the fish are finally getting big enough to eat smaller fish. The other pond is where I am getting my minnows from because a pond will naturally stunt the fish down over 20 years or so.This product will work very well for but also for anyone who needs minnows for fishing. The technique that I found out works best is making small balls of bread and leaving one piece to float in the trap which really draws the minnows in quickly, then It's just a matter of opening the trap and dropping the minnows in a bucket or live well. This product works very well and does a very good job at catching all size minnows from just a little bigger than an inch to around five inches .I am very happy with the quality and performance of this minnow trap and look forward to usingIt for years to come.

This is an exceptional minnow trap for the price
The quality of this minnow trap was better than I expected. This is not something that you will be able to pass on to your grandchildren or anything but if you just need to catch minnows and crawfish this is the trap for you. The design is simple and easy to attach a paracord or cotton cord to.I use this in a large lake with some cheap canned cat food in it and I catch minnows and crawdads nonstop. You can cut the opening a little larger if you want to catch bigger crawdads but the minnow catch tends to decrease when you do that. All in all I feel this product exceeded my expectations and I bought three!

Fit?
I was disappointed. The pieces didn't seal well. I'm supplementing with a rubber strap

outstanding product
I just recvd this product after ordering it yesterday thanks to Prime membership(amazing). I have played with this thing and to be honest cannot see why there would be any issues with this product unless user error. The 2 sections have opposing loop/stud locking system on the bottom and the top has a simple squeeze clamp system which takes a lot of pressure to compress and slip off. I havent take it to the water yet but would recommend a good cleaning first since there is a film on it from the coating that only soap and soft clothe will do.I cant wait to test this out considering I only spent $10 on this item, when it cost me $2.50 for a dozen minnows this past weekend.*update 10/1/12, Took this out to the lake to do some fishing, dropped a can of tuna flavored cat food inside and dipped it just a few feet out and let it sit 15min and had a half dozen minnows and baby sunfish. Excellent product, had I left it out longer I would have had a ton more but time was limited for me.
