SS EXPERIMENT LOVE CAMP..UNCUT..

During WW2 female prisoners of war are used by the Nazis for medical experimentation and as sex objects for the German soldiers until one of the soldiers falls in love with on of the women.Questionable- the prisoners seem to be a little to enthusiastic about their actions with the soldiers, sleazy- naked women in almost every shot, but somehow watchable naziploitation. Acting is at the very best average and the direction is nothing to write home about however there are a couple of quite surprising scenes, the downbeat and dare I say it excellent finale is a real surprise & the part where a prisoner is hung up by her feet is quite a harrowing scene and is played very well. The low budget is evident throughout from the low quality effects, silly wars scenes to some shaky sets but it doesn't affect the overall the silly but fun atmosphere of the film. The pace of the film is OK, there is just enough happening to keep interest, although there are conceptually shocking scenes in the film the low budget and somewhat poor special effects lessen the impact of those sequences.Along with Driller Killer & Cannibal Holocaust this was one of the most notorious of the video nasties, almost certainly because of the striking cover of the video box- a naked woman hanging upside down with a leering guard within a concentration camp- from GO Video. Although this was a notorious nasty this is definitely not an extreme film, yes there are distasteful scenes but nothing gut wrenching or morally corrupt, actually this is far more watchable than you might think.

I've mentioned this film when reviewing SS Camp 5: Womens Hell which was made at the same time, by the same people, in the same location with most of the same cast & with a similar storyline. As the title says it's set in a women's SS experiment camp but, unlike SS Camp 5 which is a pretty decent gritty exploitation film indicating some of what might have taken place in these camps, this is a somewhat silly love story between a sympathetic soldier & one of the women prisoners, the experiments merely incidental most of time. Why they made this who knows but they really shouldn't have bothered. It's dross. Even the fast forward button can't save it.Buy SS Camp 5, it does what it says on the tin.

GREAT ACTING, wonderful script, convincing barbaric torture and exciting gratuitous sex - just some of the ingredients MISSING from this abysmal example of adult entertainment. How I wish I had paid more attention to previous reviewers. Avoid at all costs.
