This book is as much about Landscape Architecture as it is about Urban DESIGN
Good book

Quick reference
It’s obviously not going to cover everything but it hits on some core principles that often by accident you may not remember in everyday work. Great reference and it includes images to illustrate the concept.

Very useful, simple book
Excellent little book, with tons of basic concepts that any urban designer, planning and architecture student and professionals should bring close at heart (and brains). I will adopt it as required for my three-studios second-year sequence in the BCRP program.I only don't give it 5 stars because: a) most sketches are way too small (particularly considering the amount of blank space around them), and b) no bibliographical reference list (the authors use vintage concepts and established authors).

Minimalist but Informative
The book is a nice, clean, and minimalist approach to describing urban design school. As someone interested, I felt like I got a good glimpse of concepts. The book is not meant to teach, as it does not explain any concepts but rather notes different concepts. The little graphics were cute. I asked an urban design masters graduate if the book seemed accurate and they said yes, it generally covers 30-40% of general lessons. Great coffee table book!

Important
This little book is in many cases about what is most important and often overlooked today in urban planning

Cool book to learn the basis in urban design
I recommand to read it even if you have some knowledge in the field. 101 sorts texts. Easy to read.

Useful set pointers and reminders.
I found this to be a useful set of pointers and reminders and urban design principles. Ideal for students. My only gripe is that it is clearly for an American audience in regard to measurements and references, it would be good to see the metric system included in a 2nd edition. This would allow for a greater audience. For now you'll just have to pencil them in.

Very compact!
I'm a big fan of hardcover books and this one fits into your hands and can be carried everywhere easily! I got this at a lower price and it's contents are similar to 101 things I learned at architecture school, but nevertheless a great read! Would recommend it for urban design/architecture students

Bypass a degree, become an expert
People are always complaining about traffic and how lousy our council is. I purchased this book to be a bit more informed on the topic. Now I can contribute to conversation as a pseudo expert even though I only read 101 brief pages on urban design. I can now safely say I am more educated than my colleagues regarding this topic

A reasonable refresher, light weight.
The format is set up like an outline with quick brief statements on design principles. It is not as comprehensive as I had hoped, missing a number of principles we were taught in Architecture school, but a good reminder of those stated.
