Swashbuckle Snacks Spicy Candied Squid Snack 3.17oz (90g), Made in Japan, Otsumami

This bag of swashbuckle snacks candied squid is pretty nice tasting, with a decent candy nature, somewhat chewy, and full of flavors. My one dislike is that it came very moist to the point there was a little pool of super sugary brown water at the bottom when sitting. I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be a little wet, but I have a feeling they weren't. Either way, I've enjoyed the taste they offer, and will try another bag sometime

These squid snacks are much tastier than I expected! They're super sweet with a slightly spicy kick. Definitely taste better than the smell though.

As others have said... the smell. Wow does it smell. Surprisingly tasty though, although it's mostly sweet over spicy. Personally can't eat much of it at a time, but they're great for the adventurous snacker!

I really...really.. tried to like this as I love fried calamari and any and all forms of sautéed squid or octopus.Upon opening the package I was immediately hit with a strong fishy smell much like the dried shrimp in Asian markets. This was an immediate turn off for me as I cannot stand the smell. However, I wanted to give a true review so I popped one in my mouth a proceeded to chew it up. After about about 20 seconds, I had to spit out the contents in my mouth because it had such a strong fishy taste. The flavor lingered and I had to eat something else to get the taste out of my mouth.I realize that taste is subjective and some people may like this flavor, but it was not for me. The package is nicely colored and very well sealed and the contents were very fresh.

These squid snacks are definitely very strong and smell. As soon as you open the bag, I was almost taken back with the horrible smell of them. As far as taste goes, they definitely tasted better than they smelt. However, they still are not my favorite when it comes to taste. They do come in a resealable fresh bag, that is nicely designed.

This squick snack taste delicious and especially for those who like fishy squid taste, this is perfect for them. The quality is good too and it's made in Japan so you can be assured that you are getting an authentic squid snack. I do wish the packet would be bigger with the price but overall it's still within an acceptable price range.

This review is for the Swashbuckle Snacks Spicy Candied Squid Snack. ( 3.17oz)I do not like seafood. I ordered this for my husband to try. Upon opening the bag, the fishy smell is really strong. But he said this snack is not that fishy tasting. It's sweet and fishy, and had a little crunch to it. He also said it's not something he could sit down and eat a whole lot of at one time. But just a piece or two is fine. He did say he liked it.

I like squid, I really do. I was looking forward to dried squid texture with spicy and sweet umami. Unfortunately it is mostly just sweet with a small bit of spice. I don't think this is for me, but I do like Swashbuckle snacks for bringing these snacks to my doorstep.
