Do not buy. I waited with a bushel tomatoes ready for it to get here. I opened it as soon as it arrived and I didn't make it an hour before it broke. The small plastic piece that holds the cone shaped strainer bent then broke. Very cheaply made.

Maybe you would like to eat a higher- or lower-fat blend of meat, or reduce your meat consumption by adding something like oats, or you just want to know what is in your sausage or prefer spicier or less spicy, or want to experiment with meat-free "sausage" blends. I used this with a large roast to grind meat coarsely with my own spice blend to have the most robust flavor possible. I did not use casings but cooked and froze the meat to be able to add it in small portions to pasta, eggs, etc. I know that no chemicals or preservatives went into producing it, and I was able to add my own onion, garlic, fennel, etc. so I know the sources of all the ingredients. Not only was it less expensive but the blend is tailored to the tastes of my family, with more fennel than you typically find in sausage. At first the machine was intimidating but a friend helped me set it up. You can put a big pot into your sink and set the machine where it will grind the contents right into the pot, then when you are done with a batch you can cook it up without having to cross-contaminate anything because the pot can go right onto the stove. I was impressed with this pro move and my friend was impressed with how well the machine ground the roast without having to use the little pusher tool that comes with it. This was easy to clean all the parts in hot soapy water in the sink. We are excited about using it again, but the roast made enough to last for a few months. It seemed like an efficient system if you have the space in the freezer and like to prepare foods in advance.

This review is for the Newhai 3 in 1 Electric Tomato Strainer Meat Grinder Sausage Stuffer Maker Tomato Sauce Maker Meat Mincer Machine.The first unit I received was missing parts. The second unit seems to have an extra part. No matter, what's most important is the grinding, and the Newhai grinder grinds well. I was surprised and pleased compared with a stand mixer grinder attachment I had been using. The Newhai motor base is light weight and reasonably convenient to carry and store.For testing I ground beef chuck roast for hamburger. Nothing clogged. Grinding was fast. Meat was ground, not mushed. And the ground beef came out in a nice neat pile I was delighted actually.But there are negatives: the first time I assembled the machine the "scroll housing" would not attach to the "scroll housing inlet" on the motor base. I was afraid something was broken. I had to use an undue amount of force. But after the first time the parts would assemble and lock into place properly.Then there is the issue that the aluminum parts cannot go in the dishwasher. I dislike immensely cleaning greasy, meat filled threaded parts by hand. Couldn't the parts have been made from stainless steel?Lastly there is this text from the instruction manual: "There might be a bit of black metal powder adhering to the food ground in the end. Please pick them out and throw away, do not eat them."

A total piece of garbage. No instructions, harder than hell to be put together, constantly, constantly, CONSTANTLY PLUGGING UP!!!! Augers do NOT lock into place, and LITERALLY unable to clean properly!! Do NOT! I repeat DO NOT buy this product!!!!!

This is a total waste of money!!! Please do not buy this piece of equipment in plain English sucks and I am not one to use foul language!

This meat grinder is very good for the price. I ground up some bison chunks into ground meat for burgers and it went very good. Nothing clogged and everything was ground up good. The only thing I don’t like about this machine is that some of the parts can’t be put into the dishwasher so you have to hand wash. Not a fan of that.

Do not buy this we used ours 4 or 5 times and only work good the first time.

This grinder is great, I especially like how you can use it to make homemade tomato sauce pureed and jams. This is excellent for creating preserves, and jams and it does a great job of handling them. The machine has some parts that need to be hand washed but that doesn't bother me because I already hadn't wash certain cooking and baking materials in our home anyway because I prefer that over the dishwasher. I may grind meat with it in the future but probably not because I have an electric grater that actually grinds meat so I will keep this separate for fruits only.
