It works!
I have been using this exact model of mole chaser for over 10 years. I have a backyard that is 150' wide x 50' deep with two of these spaced about 75' apart mid deep in the back yard. I've never ever had a golfer. Last week I had my first golfer and checked the mole chaser. It wasn't working and so I replaced the D cells. It still didn't work. That explained the golfers. I'm glad to see that the P7900 is still being sold and shoved in a new cylinder of electronics into the old access tube. If the golfers leave, this will be absolute proof that these babies work. Batteries last about 6 months and the electronics, 10 years. Stay tuned for second report ...

Works when PROPERLY installed
I have used sonic mole chasers for years. They do work if you properly install and maintain them. I used to use the solar chasers, but they have a short life span. The sun degrades the plastic, they have to be put in areas that aren't accessed by a mower, a slight touch of a weedeater destroys them, and of course they need full sunlight. I still use them in addition to P7900's. They are easier to move around if needed in flower/shrub beds. The first key with these is to get them installed without disturbing the ground and/or damaging the unit. I have always used a pipe and mallet to make a hole that is slighter smaller in diameter and just short of full depth so it's as snug possible when I install it. You can't dig a hole and try to pack the dirt back around the unit as it will lose its effectiveness. Loose soil=BAD. This year I bought this soil sample tool which is AWESOME! (pictured with the mole chaser) I used it after a good soaking rain and it was well worth the $100 I paid for it here on Amazon! Here is the link of Amazon lets it show up. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B081MTJ861/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1The second key to success is over saturation! Install more than the recommended amount for maximum effectiveness. Especially if you have loamy and/or sandy soil. Remember, loose soil=BAD. I have just under a 2 acre property with loamy soil and have 12 of these installed. Yes, it's a lot of batteries and expense, but my neighbors are not happy! Just past my property line in all 3 directions are their moles/voles/gophers plus the ones that used to be in my yard. One of them finally asked me this year what I'm using because they're tired of setting traps. If you install these properly they WILL work for you. Maintain them by using a good brand battery and keep them fresh. (I use Duracel) They won't last 6 months. 3 to 4 is more realistic. If you live in an area with freezing climate remove the mechanism/batteries before the ground freezes. I have so many that I have a map to help me locate them for maintenance, but I still have to occasionally pull out the metal detector to find a few as the growing season helps hide them from sight.

It is working, but one may not be enough!
This product it is working!I have 3 neighbors and last fall I noticed a couple of mole traces in my yard; One of my neighbors was trying to catch them, the other two did not care, or I did not see anything to prove the contrary. Since I'm (mostly) pro-life I decided to use this chaser. I placed it almost mid of my yard towards the 2 neighbors that "do not care"... and then winter came and did not see any mole trace until late spring when I had to change the batteries because they were dead. In summer I was surrounded: front yard, back yard, slowly moles are taking over and destroy my lawn... no clue how my neighbor is catching them, maybe with his two dogs, but i have doubts looking at his grass; One of the other neighbor's lawn looks like an ad for growing moles in your own yard! When mowing there are clouds of dirt in the air... need a gas mask. My chaser it is keeping them away at around 8 yards but recently batteries died and I paid the price in the next two days: they dug through half of my yard; I would need at least 4 chaser to survive this assault plus a bunch of rechargeable batteries and I think it is a bit too pricey.Ok, no more mr nice guy, I'm switching to "catch a mole traps" - let the war begin!

Not sure about the results
Ordered and received 3. But had to send one back.....it didn't work at all. Installed the other two, and haven't seen any less moles. However, my husband wants to order the 3rd one again.

Buyer Beware
I purchased my first P1 Mole Chaser on 8/13/2023. It was working great until I noticed that the moles returned. I checked the device and found that it was no longer working. I contacted the company on 9/21/2023 to request a return. I was told that I do not qualify for a return as I had exceeded the 30 day return window. I was 10 days too late! Apparently, their limited LIFETIME warranty is only 30 days if purchased through Amazon. BUYER BE WARE

Don't work as good as they used to
I have used this type of mole chaser for years and been very happy with the results. Although the new ones are the same brand and model, they don't seem to work as well as the older ones. The sound they emit is not quite the same as the older model and I don't think it penetrates the ground as well. In any event, they are not controlling our moles. This is probably a case of the company deciding to improve on a product and they should have left it alone.

Excellent product that works exactly as described...highly recommended to keep moles a bay!
I have waited almost a year to write a review for the P3 (P7900) mole chaser to be able to give an accurate and complete experience we've had with this product.BACKGROUND: In the summer of 2015 a mole (or moles) took residency in our vegetable garden. I have been gardening this plot of land for 15 years and this was a totally new experience of having all seedings toppled over and the ground feeling like it's been rototilled from below on a daily basis. The root vegetables seemed to benefit from all this aeration since we had a bumper crop of beets and carrots but I didn't have to have much foresight to know that this would be a very big problem for the spring 2016 planting, as I start almost all my very large garden from seed...we feed ourselves year around from in vegetables from this garden. I should mention that the established plants were not overly disturbed by this underground rototilling, as long as I stamped down the soil around their roots every single day. By the end of the summer and into the fall, the mole/s territory had extended beyond the vegetable garden to most all large 12 perennial flower beds and the surrounding grassy areas, which are pure blue gray potting like clay soil (like cement when dry and impermeable when wet but grown grass like green beautifully). We are located on the Canadian shield in Leda clay. This original clay soil has been dug out and removed in all the vegetable and flower garden beds refilled with imported garden soil.RESEARCH: Throughout the summer and fall I did a tremendous amount of research and tried a few home made methods...no one in this area has ever had any issues with moles. I even completely harvested the garden earlier, so that I could track the beast and try to catch and relocate it...absolutely no success. I came across P3 international in my winter research and though it seemed like a long shot, the principle behind the product made a lot of sense. I knew I wasn't going to seed the 2016 veggie garden to have it be a waste of time and money, unless I found a solution, so I tried to reach the customer service to get clearer answers on which one of their product to purchase, unfortunately I never received a reply.RESULTS: I installed the product in the very middle of the veggie garden as soon as the soil was thawed - we get deep freeze here. I took a piece of square wood, slightly smaller than the diameter of the molechaser casing and pounded that into the garden soil, and further into the hard clay...not an easy job to get that piece of wood back out of the ground without enlarging the hole. I inserted the molechaser casing leaving the top of the cap exposed 2 inches above the ground level. As soon as I inserted the 4D batteries into the holder, it emitted a loud high pitched sound. Once into the casing and the cap replaced, all I could hear was a faint buzz, which was no longer audible 6 feet away...it is very quiet here in the country. I have very sensitive hearing and posted questions about how audible the sound would be before I purchased the product, I am glad to say that I have found the sound of the slight buzz, no disturbance at all even when working near it in the garden. The mole(s) activity started within days after the molechaser was installed but was restricted to the perimeter of the garden within a few days. One half row of seeded parsnips, along the perimeter was affected for a week or so in early may, not on a daily basis but only on a few occasions. There was no mole activity in the vegetable garden or in the perennial flower gardens or anywhere for that matter, at any time during the summer or fall. In the past few weeks as we were having mild frost I left the inner section of the molechaser in the casing, however I noticed yesterday that I could no longer hear the intermittent buzzing sound...the batteries were dead, after over 6 months of great service. I also noticed some mole activity in the clay grassy area a few feet away from the garden, so the moles are still around and were moving back in without the molechaser vibration...with the recent weather I haven't been in the garden to notice the daily changes. I’ve tested the molechaser with new batteries and it is working fine, so for the winter I am leaving the casing in the ground and will replace the inner workings in the early spring. So from my experience this product works exactly as it says it should, and I know that without it, I would no longer be able to have a vegetable garden...so I highly recommend it. Thank you P3 international for a great product.

Definitely doesn’t work
Okay I am updating this review because this thing stopped working 2 weeks ago which is a month after I put it in the ground. I definitely don’t recommend this product. I got this one over the Solar ones because I thought it might last longer. I am really disappointed.I live on a hill so when it got really wet at the bottom of the hill the mole moved up the hill even with this thing working they made tunnels less than a foot awayI originally ordered 2 one arrived broken so I sent that one back. I probably wouldn’t have even known it wasn’t working except that I had one that workedIt did seem to work okay until a massive rain/ snow storm and then all the moles came up the hill into my garden. Other yards at the same elevation were unaffected so I would say this thing is not as effective as I would like to think

Works well
Well contained unit, we had several mole hills prior to installing it in the ground. After install we flattened all hills & waited to see if new ones came up. One week after no hills & no sign of moles!!! We will most likely buy a second one to put in the garden next year. We are very happy that we did not have to resort to killing these little creatures. Downside of this device is that it did not stop mice or voles above ground, we have caught several mice in the same area as the device. So it works well for moles not mice.

No more moles
Excellent product. 6 months with only 1 mole. It seems to work very good. Have 3 installed in my large yard and my problems are solved. I was not a believer of these systems and used tunnel traps for 20 years and caught 55 moles. Now no more mounds and l am now a believer.

Not effective
Item arrived on time and well packed. Thank you for that!I put in batteries and put it down in my lawn / garden the same day it arrived (around Jul 26, 27.Today is Aug 19, I still see 1 or 2 new dunes , now and then (almost a month). So the moles are still under my lawn / garden.
