Works as it should

My daughter has a beast of a thing that was her college computer which she just won't give up, an HP Victus with a huge screen and a discreet (separate) video adapter and video memory just for gaming and the like. So it soaks up power, but it wasn't charging so fast lately, and she would have messages from the Windows OS that it wasn't terribly happy with the power it was receiving. Well, we just can't have Windows getting angry with her, now can we? Nope.So in comes this thing, and BAM! Charges fast. Even if she's actually crunching something that requires that extra GPU, which really soaks up power, it still charges fast. She tried it right here at our home when she came by to get it, and I just watched it really re-juice her laptop in under an hour. Nice! The old charger went into the recycle bin for electronics since it was soooo slow.Love this new charger and the HP Victus loves it too. Great find and a great deal!

Purchased this charger for my sons Victus laptop, description said it was compatible with my laptop based on serial number but it did not work with my laptop. Waste of money! Do yourself a favor and order a HP brand charger and save yourself a headache.

200W capable 19.5V HP compatible power supply with a DC connector: “4.5x3.0mm, Male”(also called "HP4.5" (has the "blue" tip)I gave 4 stars due to the Ad showing wrong power cord in an apparent old picture.Also the braided DC cable feels nice, but seems pretty stiff and the cable going into the unit could move a bit. I tied the cable to the side with velcro to prevent it from moving to prevent any possible wire bending internally (just in case, better safe than sorry).Other than that, this power supply ck's out great.LIKE:- This power supply works great with an HP ENVY laptop which uses this same size connector.The laptop does not reject this power supply, and it has no complaints about the power level it’s capable of. (The Laptop was previously using power supply that could only supply 3.33A.)- If you need to replace a power supply, it’s good to get more bang for your buck.This power supply can supply much more power than my current need, BUT another later new HP device will likely) require much more power. In that case, this power supply will be available as a backup.HP has two sizes of this type of DC connector. This is the smaller size.There are adapters that you can buy to convert this one to the larger size connector.A spare power supply can avoid aggravation:- If you need a docking station (to avoid the cables re-connections issues when you come and go), they usually require a larger power supply.- You can leave one power supply plugged in under a desk at home and into the docking station, and one already in a laptop bag for when traveling.)INFO:HP has many products which can sense how much Power a Power supply that is plugged into it can produce.When a power supply is connected, the device it’s powering may give an error (if on battery) and not allow the power to be used if it’s not adequate.It might give an error and run the device in a “low power” mode due to insufficient power available.The HP (or compatible) power supplies have 3 wires in the power cord (and possibly a shield wire).It has Ground, HOT, and the 3rd wire is a Power Sense wire. That wire simply has a voltage on it that tells the device it’s connected to how much power it can supply.That voltage is different depending the power rating of the power supply.A search on the HP online shopping site does NOT list this 200W one for sale.I did find specs of one they apparently no longer carry.(I see it had a ferrite RF choke on the DC cable, but the 3rd party one I received does not. I did not notice any interference issues. with this 3rd party power supply)This power supply is not UL listed.

All the chargers that are slim and 200W are around the same price. With the braided cable, this one seems to be worth choosing over the others. Works just as good as the original with zero issues. Seems to weigh the same. If you're looking for a replacement or just getting another one, you can't go wrong with this one.

I needed a replacement charger for my laptop and this fit the bill. Its a super nice quality charger, so I have an extra for traveling. Not lightweight, but very durable. Mesh braided cord and all the parts for a quality cable.

Works on my old HP pavilion. This is a 200W charger, so the charger is heavier than the original charger and much heavier than my few few year old HP Envy 65W charger.The cable from the charger to the laptop is thick and a braided material. I am not a fan of the braided cables.Overall this is an nice charger than packs a lot of power.

Picked this up to replace my lost factory charger for my HP ProBook and it works great. Heavy duty and actually seems better than the HP charger than came with my Laptop.
