I'm Free!: The Life and Times of John Inman

Superb
Read the reviews - everyone's a critic these days! Really good, easy to read biography and I get it's not easy to find out every detail of a person's life when they have passed - but David Clayton has done a really good job. Some great contributions from a lot of top actors. Engaging, warm, and despite what a couple of keyboard critics have said, a very enjoyable read of a warm, popular man.

Not as informative as you might want.
I was looking foward to reading this book but was slightly disappointed. After completing it, I don't really feel I know a great deal more about John Inman than I did before. It's more a case of a year-by-year look at his life, mainly just telling us what shows he was in that year. All we really learn is that he was a pleasant hard working guy.

A collection of interviews about Mr Inman
I was expecting a lot more from this book about the actor John Inman. Sadly the vast majority of information in the book came from either short excerpts of decades old interviews or simple quotes that could have been about anybody.
