Nintendo 64 GameShark

The Game Shark was really well packaged. I put it on with a game and it came right on into the menu to select the game and codes to be use. The product was in grate condition, better than expected due to the age of it. Thanks.

This is a niche product. And as such I don't feel the need to go into much detail with regards to its purpose and functionality. As most people who are even considering this should already know what it does.For the layman, you put it in your n64 and you put the game you want to modify on top, before the game (would normally) starts you are greeted with several menus through which codes are entered, stored and activated. Codes can be found online and vary significantly in regards of how much they alert the game in question.I would recommend buying a used cartridge, as I have done. Buying a nodding device used will yield a higher probability of already having a plethora of codes already stored on it. This is useful because; A: entering codes is often a tedious and boring process. And B: As something like this is essentially a collectors item, said collector will likely already have a good portion of the games for which there are already codes.The downside to buying used is that you may encounter some glitches, apart from the glitches that will naturally occur if two or more entered codes conflict. For example; The cartridge that I bought will sometimes fade into darkness until the screen is completely black, only the amount of time until this happens will vary, but it almost always happens.Overall it is a great piece if hardware that any Nintendo collector should have.

I loved this item back in the day, and glad that thus was available!Even in this age, a device like this is hard to come by, and like me, coming from an era where P2Pgaming was the norm, a little cheating never hurt, when gaming alone.This is what you need, the N64 Gameshark! For when you hate dying or losing, and you need to absolutely finish thatgaming library, this is for you!Infinite life, ammo, weapons, whatever!! You name it, you got it(provided you can find the codes)!!Can never, ever go wrong with this by your side!

overall i did recieve the gameshark very quick turned it on noting worked i emailed the seller directly they were very polite to begin with and asked me if it was damage in the mail when they sent it it wasnt damaged however i believe it was the post office who messed it upso thats why it doesnt work but when they responded twice they did refund my money back to me witch most people on here will just take in the future i will recomend to buy from them again since they did resolve the issue and were very kind about it i give them a five stars on customer services and a 3 on the game

I had not used a game shark since the early 1990's when I was a kid. That being said the GameShark worked quickly and correctly. Yes you still have to shimmy the occasional cartridge but it will work! Just have patience! When I first got it I thought it was broken but once I managed to wiggle the cartridges just right it worked just fine! If you want a boost in those old games I highly recommend getting one for your self!

This doesn't happen to me too often from Amazon but there's always some bad apples out there. I received the product in less time than was expected, so that's great. But... took it to a friend of mine's because it wasn't working on my 64, and he rebuilds old and new gaming systems and sometimes is even able to fix cartridges from older systems, and after testing the cartridge on six systems, plus looking at it from the inside, he said it was unserviceable. The digital display on the cartridge didn't work, the thing was sent to me broken. I'm sure the seller probably just didn't test it before he/she sent it to me. No biggy though.

It didn’t work and stayed at the number 8 and never counted down I tried it on two different Nintendo 64s one with an expansion pack and one with out and I tried multiple games and none of it worked. I just want a refund I sent it back and ordered another one

I ordered this gameshark because the description said it was cleaned, tested, and working. I received the item and it did not work. I tried it in 3 different n64 consoles and nothing happened all I got was an 8 on the cartridge screen. After some extensive research the 8 means the gameshark doesn't work and needs to be "reflashed" I wasted money and time buying this.

Did not work.
