A decent selection of protectors, but quite expensive
With two new nine-year-old toms recently added to the household, each with a penchant for scratching everything in sight, I ordered these protective sheets in the hope of preserving what remains of my sofas.Inside the box you get some large sheets and some smaller sheets, along with a load of sticky pads and pigtail-type upholstery screws. So far I have simply stuck a few of the self-adhesive sheets to the sides of the sofas and they're holding up well. The cats try and scratch around them, but mostly they give up and use their scratching post.I've not had to use the sticky pads yet, as the self-adhesive sheets are still sticking to the furniture, but I can imagine they may not adhere too well to certain upholstered surfaces. It's good to know I can resort to the upholstery pins if the sticky pads fail.My main gripe is that these pads are fairly shiny, and as such stand out like a sore thumb on fabric-upholstered furniture. If these had a matte/satin finish I think they'd be perfect.I think £25 at the time of ordering is a bit steep... However, you do get enough sheets to ENTIRELY cover a sofa or two, and if you're spending a few thousand on furniture (which I am definitely NOT) then I can see that this would be a worthwhile investment.

This really works
This sticks well to the chair my cat has decided to scratch. Easy to fit and does the job - lots on the roll too.

Sheets Not sticky
I bought the two 6 packs of sheets and they do not stick to either of my fabric couches at all. The little extra sticky squares they came with do so I've put one on each corner of each sheet but it was tedious. I also bought a roll though and it's very sticky so not sure why there's such a difference.

Easy to use
I have two indoor cats and they do like to play and scratch at things. They don’t really scratch at the sofa but they seem to like wooden furniture more. They also scratch at closed doors when they want to get in!This product is really useful. It can be cut to size to fit whatever item you want to protect. It’s tough stuff, so cat claws can’t get through and it deters them as they don’t like to scratch at the plastic. You get a lot for your money too with a 14ft roll. I’ve used it on a couple of items and so far it hasn’t left any damage when it’s been removed. The adhesion is good though so it shouldn’t come off unless you remove it. The only downside is that it can be seen, but if it works to get them out of the habit you should be able to remove it at some point.Overall, a good product to protect furniture.
