Gentle on the dishes.
The price is reasonable, but doesn't hold up to well.

Mostly good sponges
These sponges are quite nice overall, especially when you consider the fact that they are 100% organic, polyester free sponges. They soak up water and retain soap about as well as other sponges in my opinion, and the rough coconut husk fibers are quite effective at scrubbing some tough food deposits off of dishes. I will say though, while they don't scratch any of my pots/pans, glass dishes, or even durable plastic dishes, I have had some cheaper clear plastic containers that get a ton of micro-scratching from the fibers, so just be aware and test on a small area of a dish if you are worried about it. They have remained relatively odor-free so far, though I'm curious how long that will last. The stitching is not quite as pronounced as the images would lead you to believe, leading to my one big issue with them – durability. After 4 or 5 uses, coconut fibers started sticking out (and often falling out) while scrubbing dishes. In addition to the sponges beginning to fall apart, the coconut husk fibers sticking out are quite rigid and actually hurt a tad to get poked by. I've used the same sponge for a couple weeks since it started falling apart, and it's still useful, I just lose one or two fibers when scrubbing dishes aggressively. Overall though, for an eco-friendly option, these are great sponges, and for $15 (plus a 5% off coupon at checkout), I feel like this 8-pack is a good value for the price!

NOPE. DON'T BUY.
I'd give durability zero stars if it was possible. I got these 2 days ago... TWO DAYS AGO. And on the second use, it came apart. But that's not all. That was the FIRST sponge.I figured, okay, let me try another one, maybe it was a one off. And this just happened today. Again, it's been TWO DAYS and I've now TOSSED TWO OUT OF THE FOUR that come in the package due to the same issue. This second one I took pictures of and decided to come write this review right away.On another note, the item itself is kinda hard to use, the "coconut" brush part can actually poke you with loose fibers, so even regardless of the poor quality, I'd still suggest looking elsewhere.

Disappointed
The description claimed more than once these sponges lasted a long time. Sadly they wore out quite quickly. I am happy with them being made of environmentally friendly ingredients but not happy with false claims, if they greatly exaggerated on this point how do I know they can be trusted on other points. Sadly I will continue to search for a better plastic, chemical free sponge.

Love these eco friendly sponges
These fit the bill in every way - absorbent, they look chic enough to leave out around your sink, and they clean really well. Seem very durable, have only had them a couple of weeks but they are holding up well.

Good for cleaning but falls apart quickly
I try to use natural or biodegradable products whenever I can. These sponges appealed to me because they were all natural and I would not have to feel bad about throwing them away when they could not be used anymore. The scrubbing surface is tough and is good for cleaning stuck on/brunt items from pans and dishes.HOWEVER, the soft part starts tearing/breaking down quickly and the scrubbing part starts separating from the soft part after only a week or two worth of use. I DO NOT hand wash many I only pre-clean before putting in the dishwasher so its not like these are getting heavy or strenuous use which might explain why they break down so quickly. I had previously used another brand of natural sponges and will be switching back to them once these are done.In short, good idea, poor execution. If you want natural products and need sponges, I suggest looking elsewhere.

durable and sustainable
I love these natural sponges. I use them in my kitchen and bathroom, and for the most part, they are more durable than traditional sponges. They're also genuinely eco-friendly, which is a huge plus for me. I can feel good about using them bc they're made from coconuts, not some industrial plastic foam. I appreciate that they are biodegradable and compostable, contributing to a more sustainable lifestyle. Overall, these sponges from ZeroWastely are a fantastic choice for anyone looking to go green in their kitchen cleaning routine. H
