The Superior Hot Sealant Driveway Repair Kit
As someone that has tried a variety of hot sealant driveway fillers in the past, this product goes above and beyond the rest.First things first, this kit has all of the tools you need to fill up and repair your driveway cracks. Other hot sealant products only include the sealant, which is why they are cheaper. I once used a product that required me to physically place the sealant strips into each crack, and then heat the strips with a propane torch. This process was not only tiresome, but dangerous! I ended up scorching some of my driveway!Another product that I tried recommended heating a package of their sealant on a grill. This proved difficult, and forced me to repeatedly heat the sealant over and over again because it would cool too quickly. In this kit, you are given a heater that will heat up your sealant safely and correctly. It can then be applied to your cracks immediately. This stuff will solve your driveway or walkway crack problems, no matter how major or minor they are. There’s no need to call a professional, Dseal’s all-in-one DIY Kit will save you money. Simple, safe, and everything you need in one box!

I feel like I have been duped into buying the worst product ever made.
Awful. Just awful. The heater is horribly designed and built; you have to keep turning it back on every few minutes and if you don't turn it right back on after it trips, then it will never get hot enough to pour. So you end up just sitting there babysitting a tar heater for hours. To make matters worse the heater I received has a loose handle. The patch material is this super sticky and rubbery substance that gets everywhere. After melting one refill pack, the can is so crusted with tar that the refill pack won't go all the way in and is totally stuck. I am unable to remove the tar ball, or even melt it. So now I am stuck with this worthless kit, and a whole bunch of refills that I bought with it. And now I have to deal with removing this worthless patch material from the one crack I filled since it is so sticky I am worried about it getting stuck to our car's tires and messing up our rides.

BUT it is great stuff once you get it in the cracks
I used this and it is a pain in the rear to get it melted enough to pour, BUT it is great stuff once you get it in the cracks. They do not tell that you just put the DSEAL in the can to melt it with the plastic on it. I tried to remove the plastic covering initially and it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove it. What worked out well for me was to put a metal stand below the can with sterno it, start that up and then put the electric melter in it, get it bubbling and then go very quick to get it in the cracks. Also, I used the electric heater to press down hard on the DSEAL to get it flatten out afterwards. It is a pain to get it melted, but it WORKS GREAT in terms of keeping a crack sealed in cold winters and hot summers. Wear old cloths, use cloth gloves, wear goggles and plan to spend a lot of time just melting it. I wish they had a better melting system because that is where you spend most of your time.

Looks GREAT- works fair to midland.
If you absolutely LOVE messy, sticky, impossible to clean stuff, this kit's for you! It works well enough the first time, but after that, you spend most of your time cleaning the gummy drips & runs the tar build-up on the pouring can creates. The heater will only melt the lower can contents, while the spout fills & hardens to the point beyond use.The video shows a fine thin pour from the can. Truth is, after the very first pour, the tar hardens (WAY too fast) and is next to impossible to remove. The edge of the can fills up & widens with each use, and the pour gets 2" wide putting down way too much sealant. There isn't enough lacquer thinner & rags on the planet to clean this stuff up. I'm a Contractor who is used to dealing with messy paint, stucco & caulks. This stuff is the WORST. The tar gets on the heater cord, from laying on the side of the can, and even gloves no longer help. The heater does not get the tar liquid enough to pour more than a 2' line before it starts to harden. When it does, the thin film shown on the video is actually a 1/4" thick patch, that sits proud of the blacktop, leaving a high repair that shows under the sealer. Plus, unlike the video, even the dried sealer will stick to grass clippings, squirels, kids, and your sneakers. I sprinkle black sand (e-Bay) over every repair to prevent everything that lands on the driveway from adhering to the stuff.

For the best seal, make sure that you clean the crack before pouring in the mixture.
This is the all-in-one kit you want to use to seal those cracks in your driveway! This handy DIY kit has everything you need, as mentioned in the product’s description. I used it to seal the seam between my driveway and garage door. This stuff is perfect for sealing up all those annoying cracks that you just can’t stand looking at anymore. To get the best seal, make sure that you clean the crack before pouring in the mixture. Take your screwdriver and hand broom to remove any dirt, grass, and any other loose material. This step is very important, and will get you great results. I am very satisfied and impressed with the seal and bond that this product produced and would recommend it to anyone looking for a true DIY solution.

Caution sounds good but doesn't work like you want it to. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!
I used a lot of products like this and I have to say this is the worst of the bunch. A real waste of money and time. The heater in the kit takes forever to heat up the tar and yet the tar once hot cools down to much to work with but not enough that it will stick to everything it touches including car tires. I wound up using a torch to get some use out of it but consider the purchase a total loss.

Works great for longer cracks and areas of multiple cracks
Works great for longer cracks and areas of multiple cracks. I used a propane torch from home depot to reheat it and spread it better and more evenly.
