BOHK Digital Thermometer with Silicone Spatula Scraper for Baking

I bought this to use for my candy making mostly. It tends to read a bit hot, especially the higher the temperature and there seems to be no way to calibrate it. I live at 5200 feet, so I have to check all of my thermometers and adjust the temperature based on my elevation. This one still reads about 10 degrees higher than my heavy duty candy thermometers. If it was more accurate, it would be much nicer. It does clean up easily and the fact that it is silicone is nice. It just needs to be able to be adjusted for accuracy.

For the following reasons:Battery dead after only a few short uses.Battery non standard.Battery very hard to replace.Hard to read.

This is an awesome product. Very accurate! I used it to make caramels and accurate temping is very important for the end result! Love this item!!!!

Went to use this only to find dead battery. Can’t change battery easily. Couldn’t get it open to change battery. Will not give this a good recommendation to anyone…

I used this for making jam. You need to both stir constantly and temperature is key - so this product was an excellent tool to be able to do both of those things and the result was a perfect batch of jam! I was a little confused originally, I thought I had to add the battery, but it does come pre-installed. I highly recommend this item!

Just wish it went higher than 300 degrees for making candy! Very easy to read!

Will be an essential in my candy & baking endeavors. ..
