Simple but effective solution. 3.5mm out audio levels a bit low
I bought 2 of these units:1 to extract audio from a kodi box (raspberry pi into stereo amp)1 to extract audio from my sons XBox and feed it into the auxInput of his pc speakers.You will need a few extra bits that are not supplied :An additional HDMI LeadAudio out lead (3.5 to 3.5 or phono to whatever you need to plug into)A USB-A power source (just a lead provided)Our only criticism is that the 3.5 mm output was VERY low level , but whenwe took out the full line level from the phonos to the aux speaker input the problem went away.No appreciable hiss or pops introduced. Sound out is very clean. Happy customers!

Does the job well
Got this to split the audio from an HDMI connection as the monitor didn’t have speakers. It does the job well and as it is usb powered the device supplying the video and audio also powers it.

Works well, but does not work with a DP to HDMI cable as source
The product works well when used with a HDMI to HDMI cable. However, I wanted to use this for my PC and my PC has 3 DP ports but only one HDMI port (DGPU). I first tried to connect it with my DP to HDMI cable but no signal was passing through at all. After fiddling around and attempting to use my HDMI to HDMI cable instead, I finally got it to work.Though, this did lead to me having to redo my wiring, as I had planned to put it in a different position, but due to the issue above, I had to find a different place for it.Tl;Dr Buy it if you have a HDMI to HDMI cable as source, don't buy if you don't.

Useless/defective product
Quite simply it did not work as it should. While i was able to connect the input and output HDMI ports to send sound and picture from my BluRay player to TV, it would not separate the stereo sound via the 2-channel outputs to my external amplifier and speakers. Despite checking all the correct settings, there was no sound output from the headphone socket either! It was useless. Also when I tried to report the defect to maker E-Synic their website would not accept my submission despite three attempts. So I had to send it back via Amazon and claim a refund.

Fantastic product and easy to use, got me out of a pickle
Iove this product, I bought a monitor for my new Amiga Mini, the monitor had no build in sound and this product got me up and running, FANTASTIC

works brilliantly
Needed it for my epson eb-s31 projector so I could connect it to my speaker and to my Amazon firestick works brilliantly it out, also i think i have a short in my Amazon firestick cable so i thought it wasn't working, i just needed to move the hdmi audio adapter about until it came on lol

Cumple perfectamente su cometido, enchufo el Crhomecras al módulo, el módulo a la TV (todo con HDMI), el sistema de sonido al módulo, alimento con USB y listo! Ya tengo sonido desde HDMI, PERFECTO!!

Cheaper and best version of all
Looks sturdy and does the job best. Simple and easy to connect and works great. The sound quality and video quality is great as well. I am using this for Amazon firestick and to connect soundbar.

Das Gerät funktioniert einwandfrei. Bei der Installation gab es keine Probleme. Ich verwende es, um das Audio-Signal der GigaTV Cable Box 2 (hat leider keinen analogen Audio-Ausgang mehr) auch über die Stereo-Anlage abspielen zu können.
