Concert ukulele in a modern polycarbonate ABS material by Clearwater. Precision made with highly accurate intonation and tuned string length and fret positioning. A bright rich and clean sound with great projection and volume. In our opinion the sound quality is comparable with ukes of a much higher value. The sound and build quality is well above this great introductory price. Fitted with Aquila strings as standard. Guitar type tuners. Precision made fretboard with inlaid markers.

Good
Great for beginer or young child. Does need tuned every time you play tho.

Very Nice.
This is a good take it anywhere and don't worry ukulele. It is the about same price as a wooden one but does not need 'setting up', the Aquila strings are a bonus. The sound is surprisingly good and I would recommend getting this as a first ukulele because if you like the playing the instrument you can buy a good quality one but will always have a use for this.Build quality is good, you cannot go wrong for the price.

Just fine . . .
First uke. Needed something that would resist the hot dry/wet environment of West Africa. As it is my first I got an experienced player to try it. On first look the fact it was bright orange and plastic caused a smile but after playing got the praise: "Actually, it is not that bad!" For me it is fine. As sturdy as one made from natural materials and - to my ears - not that different to one costing ten times the price . . . and why would a beginner want to spend that much anyway?

The negative: Sound is a little thin and lacks some of the boxy and bright tone associated with ukes, even at this price. Neck bends under string tension more than other ukes in this price range which makes retuning more arduous than it would otherwise be and may be cause of thin sound? - but does not seem to effect the action or tuned which is quite good. Tuners are the worst thing but are ubiquitous at this price and same as fitted to some ukes up to twice the price. The positive: Its cheap - impressed at £25, it's not fragile, build quality seems good, looks smarter than basic wooden ukes. Provided with quality strings. Would hold its tune well if not for the cheap tuners of inconsistent quality, some stiff some turn themselves if you breath on them - resolved this with tuning pegs bought here for under £3. Perfectly playable.Overall: Good as second instrument if you do a lot of camping or for young children, worth replacing tuners
