Okay, I only put in a quarter to try for the first time, and it took forever to dissolve. Like several minutes. I imagine an entire one would be such that you could go shower and come back to it.It's not happening in my mouth. The flavor is not great, and it is entirely overshadowed by the taste of sucralose. I always hope that I can just get past it and won't be able to taste it enough to be annoyed, but it is so strong in this that an entirely overshadows the lemon.Packaging, I really appreciate the detail... Only thing is I had to get a tool to initially open the tube, there is no pull tab. Once that seal is broken, it is easy to open and close. The interior of the lid made me smile, someone paid attention to design and added some flair. Each disc is individually wrapped in a blue foil.I would give it one or two because of the taste, except I know not everyone despises sucralose, I know it doesn't spoil everything for everyone. It lost two stars already, because of the choice to use sucralose, and how very very slow it is to dissolve. Plus, the lemon is not strong enough to make it all worthwhile.

I found myself a little on the fence with this supplement. On one hand, it was very easy to take: just drop a tablet in a glass of water, let it dissolve completely, then drink it. On the other hand, I didn't think it tasted much like lemon-- it tasted more like that "plop-plop fizz-fizz" remedy for indigestion to me. Definitely not lemony or citrus in flavor. This is quite definitely my personal opinion, my 87yr old mother tried it and likes it-- she says to her it tastes a lot like lemon flavored carbonated water. It does take a couple minutes for the tablet to dissolve, and the colder the water you drop it onto, the slower it dissolves. I found that slightly warming an inch or so of water in the glass and dropping the tablet in that sped up the dissolving process-- just added cold water to it and stirred after it was dissolved.I was a bit unhappy that the product is labeled as "lemon" flavored, but the citrus on the package is a lime. I think a bit more care could have been taken with that! It's nice that the tablets are individually wrapped so they don't rub against each other. The package wasn't really easy to open-- it took grabbing the cap with pliers to get it off. I do like that the tube doesn't take up a lot of space in the cupboard.I knocked off a star because of the packaging and because I could really taste the fake sugar. To me, the "sucralose" taste far overpowered the lemon "flavor".

This is a review of the ATIV Calcium Effervescent Tablets. Tick, tock... the clock is running.The good stuff: I was quite suprised that the tablets are not just packed in the plastic tube, but they are packaged as unit doses. Right! Each tablet is individually wrapped. Nice touch. Makes transporting a dose very easy.The middle stuff: I was expecting a better, more lemony flavor than was present. Also, I'm not a real big fan of sucralose and stevia.The bad stuff: I dropped an effervescent tablet in water as required. I waited... and I waited... and I pushed the tablet around in the bottom of the cup... and I jabbed the tablet at the bottom of the cup... and I waited some more. The effervescent tablet was dissolving (the water went from clear to cloudy, and I saw some random bubbles rising), but after 15 minutes, most of the tablet was still lying on the bottom of the cup. I was expecting something like an Alka-Seltzer or Redoxon tablet; these effervesce quickly.My verdict: 3 stars. If you have loads of time to wait for the tablet to dissolve, you will have a much more enjoyable experience. Otherwise, 3 stars is the best I can do.

Each effervescent tablet has 500mg of calcium, which is what my doctor recommended for me daily. I’ve always preferred effervescent tablets, because I like the fizz and they are absorbed faster and are more gentle on my stomach versus pills. The tablet took around 5 minutes to dissolve in about 8oz of water. Additionally, the sweet lemon flavor has a very subtle and pleasant taste, which I also prefer to the chalky taste of calcium pills. Super convenient and easy to travel with the tablets in my purse and add to any glass of water I am drinking. I highly recommend this product if you’re looking to up your calcium!
