I have been using this for years and it is my go to metallic finish. I have used it on wood, resin and metal. It is so easy to use and way more neat than using metallic paints which have to have mineral spirits to clean brushes and trays. It is very durable and does not tarnish and takes very little time to dry. It also goes a long way. Because you do not have to apply it thickly as with paint which can take many coats. It can't be beat for coverage, value, ease of application and clean up. I always have some on hand.

The color of Spanish Copper is exactly like that of a used penny, not the brand new shiny one but one that has been around for many years and is dark brown. I like the dark brown color but I can see that people expect something with more yellow in it. The tube is 0.5 ounce and the instructions say that it covers 20 sqft! I have not put that statement to the test yet. Rub 'n Buff is a wax rub on compound and not a paint. It seems that most people use it for decorative items like picture frames and ornaments that are not touched afterwards. I called customer service and asked whether there is a way to make the finish durable. I was told that a coat of water based utherane will do that. Since Rub 'n Buff has solvents in it, you can't use the oil based polyutherane. I have used the product on cabinet pulls with three coats of Minwax satin polycrylic. Both the Rub 'n Buff and polycrylic were very easy to apply. Hopefully this will give me a moderately durable finish for several years. Putting this on the front door knob that gets even more use will probably be too much. I also tried to pu the Rub 'n Buff on a bright copper colored chandelier. The fixture had several sections of square metal which did not work with the product. It rubs on fine but when you buff, it comes right off at the square edges. You can't just put another layer on top of it like paint since it has a solvent in it and the previous layer does not dry as a hard layer. I probably spray paint the chandelier black or brown first, to mask this issue but that would be too much work.

Used this to paint out my gold hinges to better match our oil-rubbed bronze fixtures and drawer pulls in the bathroom. After wiping down and taping around the hinges I applied the paint. A little went a long way. I think it's a great match. I did end up throwing away the brush I used because it really would not wash off. I had to use a magic eraser to gently remove it from my sink and hands after trying to wash it. Perhaps it warns you of this on the label, but I didn't check before using. I forgot to take a before photo but I opened the cabinet door so you could see the rest of the hinge.

Works great. I use all over the house. Good to have many colors on hand.

Be aware that the colors pictured are much different. I used my computer and phone to check, before I ordered, because I needed to match a specific shade. This is much, much darker. I understand not allowing returns because of chemical rules, but this was their fault, and they didn't even try to make it right, citing Amazon rules. I've dealt with sellers that were more than willing to correct nonreturnable items, when it was their fault. Honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg. This is gloppy, and really difficult to apply correctly. I tried several methods, all resulted in big globs, especially, where it settled in the cracks, which I deliberately avoided. No matter how lightly I tried to apply it to just the surface, it was uneven, unruly, and very difficult. Forgot about trying to buff it to a shine, it just rubs off in all of the wrong places, and stubbornly clings to the wrong ones. It's dull, like you smeared mud on the piece. I will never buy this product, again, and never, ever buy anything from this seller, again.

Tolles Produkt. Zwar sind 11 Euro für so eine kleine Tube viel Geld. Allerdings ist das Material wahnsinnig ergiebig. Es hat meinen 3D Drücken einen tollen Kupfereffekt verpasst. Mit Sicherheit werde ich noch andere Farbtöne ausprobieren.

Amazing product! I've seen it used online for various purposes such as model distressing etc so I took a punt on this for some expose piping that I have. A new section of piping was added to the exposed set I have in the bathroom but the new piping was brilliantly polished copper. Applying this direct to the piping took it down in tone and left a very subtle "used" or "weathered" look that fits perfectly in with the rest. Going to look for more creative uses for this, it's super easy and fun to apply
