Plasplug Ssf523 Sealant Finisher

Bought these ages ago from B&Q and find these the easiest tool to get a good finish to Bath and shower mastic. I May waste a bit of mastic but happy with jobWorn edges over time so been looking for ages but could not find and used other tools but never finished as well/easy. Glad to find these online again.

Does what it says very well. Always use a mix of water and washing up liquid, I make mine quite strong. And plenty of tissue or equivalent to wipe off the removed sealant. Works very nicely with the Bond-it Xtreme White Anti-mould Silicone sealant that i can also recommend [...].

A builder friend of mine used a set of these when he sealed around my shower and also my kitchen worktop and he achieved a really good finish, much better than I made using other methods. After trying them I did infact make a good job with the finish. Well worth keeping in the toolbox for an easy quality finish.

These didn't work for me. In all fairness maybe I was using them incorrectly, but in the end I went back to using my finger dipped in soapy water.

Great wee tool. This is my second one and I bought one for a gift for someone else. Leaves a great finish if you take your time. Cannot rush quality.

Excellent tool for finishing silicone, makes life very easy when used with alcohol wipes/spray bottle.Only down sides I have come across is sometimes I tight spaces the tool can be a little awkward to use.Also the tips of the tool tend to wear as they are thin plastic but you can still get a good finish

Good in theory but leaves a line of silicone each side which you then have to peel off when its dried or risk removing it when its still wet, thus ruining the smooth finish its created. A wet finger is far cheaper and has more then one use.

Excellent product, a must for any do it yourself, it actually works with great results.
