Bright Silver Electroplating Solution 1 Quart Jewelry Plating Bath Metal Pieces

Used this to silver plate the frame of a civil war pistol ( pre nickel plating). Poured solution in glass jar, one wire to a silver coin and the other wire to the frame. Hooked to a 6v lantern battery and the action was immediate. Ran for two minutes. Produced a beautiful even coat of flat white silver. Rinse and polish and 1863 relic looks new again.

I have used similar products and this works well. It is NOT a silver polish which removes silver, this adds silver to the item. If you have old silver plated items you may find the base metal showing thru after years of polishing. STOP polishing it! Use this product and you can cover the base metal as you are actually replating it with new silver. This product contains cyanide which is a deadly poison. You need plastic or rubber gloves and good ventilation. Do not try to be macho and use this with your bare hands! You can just rub this onto the item and it will add silver to the item. It will work but you do not get very far. This is ELECTROPLATING solution so to do it right, use a battery. A little 9 volt batter will work for small items. Positive to your sacrificial metal such as a 1964 or older half dollar, quarter or dime. Negative to your item to be plated. Silver will leave the coin and go into the solution and will end up on your item you are plating. You might want to test your setup before you go to your good stuff. I used this product to replace silver plated silverware. Works as advertised.

Been plating since I received the solution and using cut sections of "5mm silver bezel wire". It is 99 percent pure silver not sterling silver which contains copper and other alloys. I have been plating everything and comes out fast and with a nice shine. Remember the lower voltage takes longer but a nice shine. Try to keep under 2 volts and still plates everything fast.

If you have a piece of jewelry that needs replating, all you need is this, a silver or stainless steel anode, a regulated power supply, and a glass or plastic container of some kind. So long as the piece is clean and oil-free, it’s easy to get good results.

Did everything by the book and exactly what it says to do the items came up not shiny at all. Very disappointed.
