I was dubious about using them in an up-down light outside. I was surprised they switched at a reasonable light level. Easy solution to an otherwise tricky problem if you can wire in a photocell to the circuit. Would recommend.

Really good. Saves you going to turn the lights on and off and leave them on during the day when you forget. Extremely useful purchase

I have had these installed for a couple of weeks now and they work flawlessly. The warm white 450l output is exactly what you would expect from a 5w led bulb. They turn on at dusk and go off again at dawn as you would expect. Obviously you can switch them off when not needed.

I wanted a dusk to dawn outside light but the choice of styles is very limited with very few having a built in dusk to dawn sensor compared to standard fittings.Having seen these on Amazon I was able to choose a standard outside light fitting from a much wider choice to the exact style I required and then fitting one of these bulbs turned it into a dusk to dawn light!So far it works very well after a few weeks of use.

I bought it with the hope it will turn off and on when passing by but it does not turn off at all.It stays on all the time day and night.They are faulty. I tried both.Nothing.I even covered it to be full dark and still its on. Definitely faulty both. I request a replacement with the ones that have a sensor to turn off and on when passing by. I know the difference because i alreay have the kitchen lights on sensor and they do turn off when passing by and it turns off when not in the area and then on again when coming back.

Rather than setting up a timer I purchased these. They work really well and would recommend
