Great family entertainment!
Both I and my 10 year old daughter loved this movie. My 10 year old is extremely picky when it comes to movies, but she requested it multiple times.

Has Elements of Humor
I admit that this rental of Paul Blart Mall Cop was a film that I decided to recently rent via Amazon around 602 pm this past Tuesday July 2 2019. I actually enjoyed the film more than I expected to which influences my decision to go ahead with purchasing via the film Amazon to watch sometime within the next month andor less. This film features Kevin James as a mall security employee named Paul Blart who is more intense about this job than other employees around him. Even one of the newer mall employees that Paul is training Veck (played by Keir O’Donnell) is surprised by how serious Paul Blart is about this job. The routine of Paul Blart’s life is made happier when he meets Amy Anderson (Jayma Mays) who gets his heart fluttering. One of the additional bright points of Paul Blart’s life includes the life that he has with his mother Margaret Blart (Shirley Knight) and his daughter Maya Blart (Raini Rodriguez). He is also friends with Leon (Jamal Mixon) and Vijay (Erick Avari).Paul Blart’s life becomes even more changed/shaken up after a major security event at the mall around the holidays occurs that is directly affects him and multiple other people. This results in the character of Blart having greater communication with Sergeant Howard (Adam Ferrara), Chief Brooks (Peter Gerety), and Commander James Kent (Bobby Cannavale).

A few flaws but very enjoyable
I really enjoyed watching this movie, despite a few issues. These things might not seem like flaws to another person, though, so you will have to be the judge. There are laughs galore and many that are designed to make us feel a bit uncomfortable about finding them funny. The main characters are all very likeable by anyone who has a heart. If you don't find the main characters sweet and charming, it might be a time for a glance in the mental mirror (sorry to be so blunt, but if you're offended by this statement, it's definitely time for a bit of self reflection!).This movie can be really uncomfortable to watch for those who are struggling with weight issues because it hits quite close to home in a lot of places - minus the ability to become the hero and save the day. I would be careful about watching this seemingly harmless movie with children without having a conversation about it afterwards. It's important that we all really get the point or this movie is just another series of fat jokes. Eh, a good fat joke can get my round belly jiggling with laughter, too, but the world needs a few fat heroes, too.Although it's good fun for anyone, I most highly recommend this movie to those with children of any age because, with a bit of talking afterwards, you can really see where your child's head is at in regards to compassion and seeing the value in others. It might bring out some scary things that you don't want to address but are necessary for the child to become a caring person later in life. This can be a great parenting tool or it can just be a lot of laughs for an adult who loves to see the underdog come out on top.

Kevin James makes another hit...
This film really is a gem - in a world where comedies have to be raunchy to be "funny", this film is an exception: it's funny without all the swearing and sex jokes that litter the supposed "comedies" nowadays. Judd Apatow, I'm looking at you. I don't mind those sorts of films, it's just that comedies seem to be aimed at either kids or adults, with no middle ground. This film reminded me of something John Candy would make back in the '80s, Uncle Buck and the like, comedies suitable for the whole family. I'd be happy letting anyone watching this, there's nothing unsuitable in it, and a bonus is that it's hilarious.N.B. Make sure to stay watching during the credits, or you'll miss the resolve of the ending.

Average feelgood comedy
I bought this move mostly because the price was very good and I have not seen the movie. The story is about failed police aspirant Paul Blart who, after failing tests due to his hypoglycemia is forced to work as a mall cop. The mall is raided by the standard gang of bad guys, Paul saves the day and gets the girl.Apart from being predictable and suffering from so-and-so acting, the story is warm and good enough to warrant watching the movie to the end.If you find this movie on sale and don't mind watching a standard comedy, by all means go ahead.

Great For Passing The Time
I enjoyed watching Paul Blart Mall Cop, most people didn't really enjoy it but I found it rather amusing. The second film is much better, it provides more entertainment and more laughter. I can recommend this a s a film to just pass the time, if you are looking for something more entertaining buy the sequel.

Cheesy but entertaining
Possibly one of the cheesiest films ever made but in say day afternoon with the family on the sofa and a bag of popcorn you can't go wrong. A plot so simple and predictable even I understood it but a few laugh out loud moments never the less. If you want a classic for your collection don't buy it but if you want a laugh for a few pounds this is ideal
