Much better than previous generations of bey-blade as this one actually has a gear mechanism that gears it up when you spin to increase the rotations compared to the other generations of bey-bladeI like the quality of it as it in general is just a good quality item like it has expansions for handles and feels good in the hand even without handles as-well as the rip-chord having a loop on it so you don't slip your finger when pulling.overall I see this as a requirement for bey-blade as the ones you usually get when you buy a bey-blade are terrible and too small as-well as having no gearing.

So here in the UK we get screwed over because these dont come default with the starter beys. You definitely need them if you want the proper speed and battles.
