Though it was established during childhood, through cultural norms, family dynamics, and your own interactions with peers, your inner child can appear at any time. For some it keeps them stuck in bad relationships, while others experience wild outbursts at inopportune moments. This workbook offers tips on how to journal about your inner child and find out what is really going on. Once you have awareness you can then work on making your inner child feel safe and loved. This in turn makes you more confident and less volatile. Will continue working with the prompts to get to a more peaceful state.

A great beginner guide to Inner Child healing
The two things I liked most about this book are the (1) flow of the content (well-thought; not "jumpy") and (2) the journal prompts (VERY insightful). However, as someone well-versed in CBT, this is not a "CBT workbook." Also, Inner Child psychology deals with a lot of trauma, and there's not much trauma-focused content here. Still, a very good beginner guide if you're starting to learn about Inner Child healing.
