These brackets were made with reasonable material, but unfortunately, there is variance in what should be right angles for the post with respect to the mounting piece. In the first photo, I set up 2 pair on a flat plastic panel and used a carpenter's square. Note the 2 on the right are angling apart and the 2 on the left angling together. I then rotated each piece (in place) to make sure that this was not due to any abnormality in the plastic surface. Note that the 2 on the right are now together and the 2 on the left are now apart. This shows that the problem is with the parts and not the plastic surface they are on. In the 3rd photo, I put a long weight (an old railroad spike) on the far side to hold down the pieces as flat as possible. This caused no change to the verticality with respect to the 2nd photo.Given that these parts are intended to mount a shelf horizontally, and one needs to make sure the receiving hole in the shelf is EXACTLY horizontal, it can then become very difficult to get each shelf horizontal when it is mounted.I believe that the supplier needs to look at the exact cause of this which could be that the thread in the bracket is not orthogonal, or more likely, the "flat" mounting piece is not in fact "flat".

The brackets are well made.

Smaller than I expected.No matter how I drilled the shelf it seemed to tilt forward and it didn't feel secure enough to place pictures on it. Took it down and found another solution.
