The New Girl (Downside) Paperback – 3 Oct. 2013

I have just finished this book and can say that its my favourite of the 3 in the series. I think this is in part due to the fact that you start to understand the language being used by the downsiders...... I have to stop telling my kids that things are 'primo' and that they need to finish their victuals. Anyway... Read this book before you depreiciate, you beautiful brown

Loved The Mall. Really enjoyed The Ward. Didn't really enjoy this one though.I felt as though this story only really got going in the last 50 pages or so, and by then I had kinda lost interest.The majority of the book is setting up family matters and the likes, which is interesting but doesn't really matter come the end.I'm starting the next book "Underground" tonight, hoping it takes a stp up instead of further 'underground'

If you've read the Mall or the Ward, you'll be familiar with the strange underworld of body modification and twisted values these two have created. This is set in the same world, but with the downsiders coming upside. The people they fall with are relentlessly awful.Haven't read too many books this twisted and dark, and it's all the better for. It.

I once posted a comment on S.L Grey's FB page about 6 months after reading The Mall, and said that I wish I could inflict amnesia on myself so that I could read the book again as if it were new to me.S.L Grey do not let us down with yet another great, disturbing read. This book follows on from the previous two books (so make sure to read The Mall, followed by The Ward).

Very Good Story .

I'm not going to give you any spoilers, so will just say: I enjoyed this immensely. It's actually one of those rare novels that I'd re-read...

I can't wait for the next book. I've read all 3, The Mall, The Ward and this one.'
