Can't beat tungsten
These weights are great! Small, but heavy. I use them on a Carolina clacker rig, and can cast way far out, without a mess of large lead or crimp ons. Definitely recommend these.

Amazing weights
Great weights for Carolina rigs, but paint does chip off. Still holding up tho after a few years.

Expensive, and well made
Tungsten is denser than lead and works very well as a compact weight.I am using these otherwise than for fishing. These are as well-made as can be, and I don't think anyone would find fault with any aspect of these. If you don't need density or shape but just weight, note that US Quarter coins are cheaper by weight.

retinaman says very nice weights and know this...
looks good , coating has held up so far and weight of the weight is quite legibly stamped on them. im learning punching and i started use a series of multiple worm weights, but i found the better taper and fewer moving parts , the better lure goes down and back up thru mat. i started with one oz and since then i bought 3/4 & 1/2 oz weights to try. i did realize that even those these weights are tapered they are flat at the front which impedes their movement thru mat, and also the holes/ channel in weights are large enough to allow bobber stopper rubber bead style to pass through them , so i added a smaller weight in front of big weight and peg it,... also improving taper ; also i use hi viz string bobber stopper fixed ahead on my braided line a distance up ahead of lure equal to water depth,.. this way i get easy visual confirmation that setup has penetrated mat and is headed to the bottom , .... and is not still on top of mat when im thinking its on the bottom. good luck

Tungsten isn't cheap but it gets the job done. Great for braided line.
Used a 1 oz. weight for some surf perch fishing (on a Carolina rig) and it got the job done. Don't bother getting any painted weights, as the finish rubs off quite rapidly against the sand (I'm sure it would do the same against rocks) but the tungsten itself holds up fine. I bought these as an alternative to lead sinkers simply because I wanted something different with a smooth inner chamber when using braided line. I've had multiple line breaks when using standard lead weights due to the rough/semi-sharp inner surface they can have. So far, so good with these tungsten ones though.

smaller & harder than that shape weight in lead
I love these smaller titanium weights for surf fishing . Superb product. Highly recommended. They do tend to move in larger surf, and in strong rip currents. This action can be a good thing, it allows bait to travel naturally and this can be used as a tactical advantage. Especially when placed on the main line, (not on the leader)

Nice Sinkers
Tungsten is always a little pricey, so its hard to rate the value for the money, but these are nice sinkers. Smooth and fit well with my bobber stop and hook. Does what I was looking for. A nice immediate drop through the muck in the pond.
