These artisan maplewood cheese boards are large enough for entertaining a big crowd and too beautiful to keep in the cabinet. Hand-made by Vonn Vancarcel from select pieces of Maplewood and elevated on little wood feet. Vonn Valcarcel is a native of Germany but immigrated to the US in 1956. He's been a boat builder, jewelry maker, house builder, knife maker, and wood carver over the course of his life. An avid birder, fisherman, and former elk hunter, he has incorporated his love for wildlife in his representations of birds , animals, and fish in his carefully crafted wood carvings. Loving a challenge, he welcomes custom orders and repair work. These boards are simple to clean by wiping them down with a damp cloth. Do not put them in the dishwasher and apply mineral oil periodically to keep just like new. They are built to be suitable for cutting. Approximate board size is 12 x 18, these boards are hand made and therefore no two are exactly alike.This item is only the board, all food items are sold separately.
