1 of the best , from the franchise, odo the shape changing security officer and quark the farengi bar owners attempts to get 1 rivalry is so funny and the story lines are verry reminiscent of babilon 5 , there is a back story and the war with the dominion and there are a few characters from next generation. Worf and Obrian , in my opinion much better than voyager series which ran out of steam after the second season

Part of the real and old Star Trek franchise and not the new and fake Trek, that encompasses Discovery, Stupid New Worlds, the cartoons and soon to b produced Crapfleet Academy. DS9. Sisko and Co vs Gamma Quadrants The Dominion. And much more. I'm always team TNG foremost but DS9 is sorta the next best thing.

As well as being my favourite Star Trek series I bought this to help improve my French and my German, as you can watch it in both these languages as well as English.

If you're a fan of the Star Trek franchise, this is as good a copy of DS9 as any other - and rather cheaper than some. Yes, some of the box text is in German, and I probably wouldn't give it as a gift unless I was sure of my recipient - but it's a (rather odd) mixture, and plenty of it is in English as well (the back of the first box of DVDs, for example, has sections labelled"Welcome Aboard", "Special Features", "Season One" and so on - the text of which is then in German). But the DVDs are labelled in English and the language selection defaults to English (on my DVD player, at least). So if you're, say, monolingual, looking for perfection and being able to read at a glance the fine detail of every little bit of bonus material, shop around and buy a different set; if, like me, you don't mind (personally, the first thing I'm going to be doing is ripping the episodes to my network drive and archiving the originals), this is decent value for money, and as good a set as any other.

The first two seasons are a bit too ‘soap opera’ for my taste, but it develops nicely and it really takes off by season 3. Really enjoying rediscovering this iteration of Star Trek

My disabled son has loved Star Trek since a little boy. Still making his way through all the discs but no complaints so far. Outer casing not English language but as he doesn’t read this is unimportant to him but obviously might be an issue for others.

Did have most, but not all, of the episodes on VHS. But you try getting a VHS player nowadays.

This series has more lore, homour and character development than any new Star Trek series. It tells an ever evolving story with some of the most interesting characters in that universe. An absolute must and a worthy successor to Next Generation

encased in a hard plastic. appears to be quite sturdy exactly like i found with ST TNG, and also in ST Voyager. i am quite pleased.

Was soll ich sagen? Deep Space 9 ist meine Lieblingsserie aus dem Star Trek Universum - mit dem ganzen Nu-Trek bzw. Kurzmann-Trek kann ich nichts anfangen, hier aber (mit Figuren wie Garak, Quark, Gul Dukat, Major Kira, Odo etc.) fühle ich mich "Zuhause". Denn diese Serie ist einfach nur richtig gut, sie versucht nicht dich zu belehren, dir eine Ideologie einzuprügeln etc. und sie versteckt sich nicht vor harten Themen u.a. Krieg, Tod, Rache, Religion, Kriegswunden etc...nein, sie erzählt einfach gute Geschichten! Ja, zum Teil wird schon auf unsere Vergangenheit oder Gegenwart Bezug genommen, aber halt nicht mit der Holzhammer-Methode von modernen Serien! Einfach nur gut!
