Fantastic
These are perfect, we made a ramp for my husband's truck. They are sturdy and stay in place.

nice way to make a ramp
Got this for an Aluma trailor so I could load my riding mower. Works great - easy to make out of a couple pieces of 2x6's. Would definitely recommend

Worked exactly as expected — but you’ll need 10 deck screws they don’t give you.
I ordered these because my generator was really heavy to lift into my pick-up when I took it in for service, and I wanted an easier offload when I brought it back.I read the previous reviews and concerns and I don’t think there are any issues except for missing screws for rubber feet and lack of clarity/illustrations for assembly; only reason for my 4-star rating.First, I used simple untreated 2X8X8 pine boards from Lowe’s (Home Depot didn’t have any). Treated lumber is saturated and way too heavy; couldn’t find oak. Sorted and selected boards that were good — no edge knots or splits. The fit to the aluminum extrusion was excellent. There is no need to notch or angle cut your board. The edge that touches the end of the board is flush and under load will compress into the board so there’s no gap. I recommend skipping the pencil and just use the aluminum as a drill fixture. After drilling the first 5/16” hole, drop a bolt in and drill the 2nd hole for perfect assembly alignment. For the rubber feet, the hardware is indeed lacking. They supply odd pins, and I suspect they want you to drill tight holes and press fit these pins into the rubber flaps but seems hokey.Look for the thicker rubber flap to be on the bottom (towards pavement), and the thinner flap on top. Place the rubber over the end of board accordingly, then set on your truck’s tailgate in the ramp position. Then use a hammer to tap the rubber against the end of the board while still in the ground. This help properly “seat” the rubber into the board (you don’t want slip or gaps under load). Then, I used three (3) 1-inch coated deck screws and screwed the topside rubber flap into the wood. There’s a wide channel for this. Turn over and add 2 screws in the underside flap; I only used two (2) to avoid alignment with the topside screws.Used the ramps tonight and they were awesome...very stable and confidence inspiring. There’s a little flex but nothing to be worried about. So happy I have these for future use. Only $17 in wood plus this kit...very happy.

Trailer ramps
Quality made. Wish they would slide over a standard treated 2X12. But overall work good loading my 2200 lb tractor with a little extra bracing

A useful kit
I bought the 8 inch kit and built my ramps using construction-grade pressure treated softwood (oak, as recommended by the manufacturer of this US product, would be too expensive in the UK).It turned out that the 8 inch components are in fact 7 inches wide; this is not a huge problem. The slot in the rubber foot is around 38mm, far less than the thickness of an 8 inch by 2 inch board. I rebated the ends of my boards to fit, and drilled holes for screws as there is no means of attaching them; friction alone would not keep them in place for long. The hooks for the other end are substantial extruded aluminium sections which look as if they are up to the job, though time will tell. Attaching them is straightforward as the design accommodates different board thicknesses. Contrary to another reviewer I did not think they were poorly designed or that the angle was wrong. They each have a pair of small diameter holes drilled in addition to the holes for the bolts, and there are four aluminium rivets, which fit the holes, supplied with the kit but these are not referred to in the instructions and I could not find a use for them. There is an obvious mistake in the instructions: "repeat steps 1 to 4" should read "repeat steps 1 to 5".All in all this is a good product allowing flexible choice of the length of the ramps. It is expensive as an import to the UK. And perhaps it needed a little more product development before being brought to market.
