We have purchased several of these. The cover works great living in the south some days are so hot. You can’t touch the rail when you’re walking down the steps this cover fixes that. We leave ours on all summer and love it.

I was worried that the diameter was going to be too big for my handrail. This rail cover was designed and advertised for a pool railing but I was installing it on a rail on the front of the house. To my pleasure it fit very well, snug with no wrinkles. I zipped it up from the bottom of the rail up so it was better to have my wife hold the upper end in place until I could get the zipper started because of the snug fit. After that it zipped right up with no problem.Only drawback in my case is it still gets pretty warm in the sun. I bought the color Desert Tan for looks and to protect our hands. My rail is a dark colored aluminum rail which much of it is in direct sunlight all afternoon and gets too hot to touch. The cover is still much better than the bare metal and it is soft for a good grip. It well very good in the cold winter.Durability will have to wait over time.

Perfect fit for our pools hand rail. Doesn't slip around, covers the entire thing, and keeps it from getting hot. What more could you ask for? Will add picture soon.

After reading the reviews I was expecting a bit of a problem putting the rail cover on. I had no problem putting the cover on all by myself (I’m 80 years old). Soaked the cover in the pool and draped a soaking wet towel over the rail. It took less than a minute to install. This is our 3rd cover ordered since we installed our rail a few weeks ago. The first was too small 4 ft. The second was 8 ft. The 8 ft one fit perfectly but slid when gripping it to get out of the pool. We didn’t need any problems like that for us and our friends at our age. We then decided to upgrade to this particular one and so pleased we did. This last one fits perfectly and doesn’t slip on the pole. It’s well worth paying more to get exactly what we needed.
