An excellent liquid carnauba wax.
A superb liquid wax from the detailing geeks. Five stars. This is a superb product from the Chemical Guys. I am not one to buy into their hype and I choose my purchases carefully. I have to say, this was a good purchase. If you are buying this product, consider buying the Chemical Guys applicator pads, shown in this link Chemical Guys MIC_292_08 Premium Grade Microfiber Applicators, Blue (Pack of 8)The applicator pads above will make your work a lot easier.Okay, so a lot of reviews have been written about this product and many praise its ease of use. Let me say that it is indeed easy to use compared to a paste wax. But let me also say, it is not as easy to use as a spray wax. Let's be honest, for ease of use, you cannot beat a good spray wax like Turtle Wax Ice Spray Wax and Meguiar's Ultimate Quick Wax. This product, the Buttery Wet Wax, has a thick consistency and there will be some resistance during the application. It is really like melted butter. That is why you should also buy the applicator pads to make things easy for you. The product will remove easily after application. This is a carnauba product and will thus provide great shine. The shine is superior to what you get with the spray waxes that I listed above. However, know that the synthetic spray waxes that I mentioned above will last longer on the paint and they have superior water beading properties. I bought this Buttery Wet Wax to try it out. I am pleased with the results. I am pleased with the product. There is a place for it in your car care arsenal. However, I think for my needs, the spray waxes are a better fit. I have two cars. They are older, higher mileage vehicles. Shine is not my main concern any more. Protection of the paint and the sheet metal is my priority. For that, a less shiny but longer lasting product is a better choice for me.Your car's paint and its clear coat have two jobs to do: protect the metal and give a pleasing appearance. A clear coat that is no longer shiny may no longer do the best job of making the car look good but it is still doing its job of protecting the sheet metal from the elements. For that reason, I do not use buffers and polishers on my cars. Not ever. Because I do not like to remove any clear coat material from my car. I would rather live with a few scratches and a less shiny appearance than to sacrifice some of the clear coat for the sake of appearance. I do not like that trade off. Obviously, car detailers have never made any money off of me! Some may tell you that in order to seal your car properly, the top layer of the clear coat must be removed in order for the sealant to bond properly. I do not think that is entirely true. Yes, a sealant will bond better to a perfectly clean and buffed surface, but that sealant is not going to provide as good a protection as your clear coat. To me, it's better to leave the clear coat alone. Regular use of a good quality wax, whether synthetic or carnauba, is fine even for scratched paint. As long as the surface is fairly clean of dust and dirt, the wax will stick. Buffing removes clear coat material. If your main goal is to protect the sheet metal for as long as you can, then you do not want to remove any clear coat just for the sake of making the paint look good.Whatever your goal might be and whatever the condition of your paint, this product will offer an improvement in appearance. And if you apply it often, it will provide protection from the elements. Granted, it will not bead water as strongly as the spray products mentioned above but this Buttery Wet Wax has enough protection to make the water slide away from the paint. It is an excellent product and one of the best products of its kind in its price range. Some people do not like the hydrophobic spray waxes like the ones that I listed above. They can irritate your lungs. Think about it. Any surface they coat will want to repel water. So what happens when the fine mist gets in your contact lenses? Depending on how much of the mist gets into your contact lenses, you can kiss those lenses goodbye. Yes, those spray waxes are very effective at pushing water away. I wear a disposable paper filter for my nose and mouth when I spray my car with those products. They can irritate your lungs. For those who do not want to wear a mask or for those who wear contact lenses, try a liquid wax like Buttery Wet Wax instead of a synthetic spray wax. You will notice less irritation from your contact lenses. A liquid wax is probably the better alternative if you are sensitive to the spray waxes. Do you notice irritation from your eyes after using a spray wax? Do you cough after spraying your car with wax? Now you know why. Don't get me wrong. I use spray wax more than any other type because they are easy to use. But I take precaution and use a filter, like the disposable ones you can buy from the hardware store, whenever I wax the cars. With the Buttery Wet Wax, I do not have to use a filtered mask. Please, let me know if this suggestion has helped you. This is a terrific product. Waxes and sealants come in many forms. This is one of the easier ones to use. It works great. And if you keep your car under a shelter, it can last you for a few weeks. Avoid parking in the hot sun to extend the life of the wax. Highly recommended.

Best Wax Out There! My Go to Wax From Now On!
What a phenomenal product! By far the best wax I have ever used on a car. I have tried plenty of different waxes over the years but none have been as easy or worked as well as this one.Application: Goes on with minimal effort and comes off just as easy. Used The Chemical Guys applicator pads and a basic microfiber towel and took me about 30 minutes to wax the car. The wax was so easy it was almost enjoyable to do.Smell: Has a distinctive but very pleasant smell. After applying and driving around for about 2-3 days, the smell was still there and gave the garage a little scent. Most waxes I’ve used smell quite bad and will linger but not this one! I know smell has nothing to do with how well the wax works, just something that I noticed right away.Finish: By far the best part of this wax. Not only does it protect the car extremely well, it has one of the most impressive shines I have seen. It makes the car look wet from any angle. 2 weeks later and about 300 miles of mountain driving, it still looks like I just washed it! We had a few rainstorms and right after the storms were over, the only spots where there was raindops left on the car was the roof and trunk, the rest of the car was completely dry! Definitely the most impressive seal from a wax I’ve seen. The color of one car is a white pearl and in the sunlight, I saw colors in the paint that I haven’t seen since the car was new 8 years ago!!Price: This was a big selling point for me. The size you get is a real generous amount. After waxing three cars (one being a SUV) I used maybe 1/8 of the bottle. Surprised how a little goes a long way with the stuff.Negatives: The only negative I have and its barely a negative, the wax itself is a bit on the thicker side. When squeezing out drops onto a pad, make sure you shake the bottle to get the wax to the top. I didnt do this after a bit when I had less in the bottle and just squeezed harder.....it shot out and got it all over. I didn’t lose much but the clean up wasn’t fun haha.

Very easily applied
A new addition to my cleaning arsenal, an awesome product for certain. Washed my SUV today in 39 degrees and couldn't wait to try this product. Exceptional shine and resistance to water on the 2 panels I tried. A very good product for sure. Can't wait for warmer weather to do the entire vehicle.

a show wax not a protectant wax
So youll notice many of the negative reviews are over durability. This is much more functional for someone who loves to wax their car and doesnt mind detailing it every couple weeks, great for a detail hobbyist. It goes on easy and is very forgiving. Some waxes put up a fight if not done correctly and even when applied thin and allowed to dry properly. This wax seems to have a consistent tug on your removal towel but thats about it, even when over applying its forgiving as it spreads easy then wipes off. As would any wax product the results are good, looked like a fresh waxed car, i hit a few black plastic trim pieces and it came off just fine, was easy on the windows though streaks were noticeable....nothing a flip of the microfiber towel and second pass didnt fix. I definitely over applied even though i tried to put it on light, i feel like lite application missed some spots. My removal towel quickly became coated in yellow residue, bring extra towels. After a final pass the car looked great, but keep in mind, any wax will achieve this. I bought this as a winter wax (phoenix) and thats what it is, a low durability, easy to use wax that wont build up and smells ok, like chemically banana. I could see this as a great sealant topper for that carnauba look over a synthetic many like. Could probably get the same results for cheaper but i like it for what it is.
