Way better than wax
I've installed 4 of these now. Easy, simple, never leaks. Do it right the first time. Just say no to wax. These are way better than the old way. They don't compress as much as wax does (but also don't squeeze completely out of the way and leak like wax does either.

Fixed leak from undersized Spud Gasket that came with my tank rebuild kit
Have a 23 year old Gerber toilet. Rebuilt flush mechanism with a Fluidmaster kit. The spud gasket that came with the kit was not big enough, resulting in a leak. This gasket was significantly bigger around and thicker. Easily swapped it in for the old one. No more leak. Works great.

If you have a Gerber just buy this one
Used this for a Gerber 1.6 gpf 21-752 and it's working as expected. No second guessing with off-brand "maybe it's the right size" parts. If you have a Gerber, just buy this one and be done with it. For reference, I used this along with a Fluidmaster 507AKP7 PerforMAX Universal High Performance 2-Inch Toilet Flush Valve Repair Kit. I ditched the gasket it came with as it and used this one instead since Gerber gaskets are taller.

GOTTA GO POTTY?!?!
We were unable to use the toilet in our master bathroom. It was spraying water out the back, every time we flushed. Hubby solved the problem, by replacing the gasket. Now, we're able to use the toilet again. Yay!You really can buy just about anything online, these days. It was SO convenient having it delivered to our door. Hubby saved us a boatload of money, by doing it himself; no plumber fees!

Bigger than the standard red ones. Works with Gerber toilets.
Bigger than the standard red ones. Works with Gerber toilets.- This gasket is about 1/2 centimeter taller than the standard red ones that come the Fluidmaster universal kits.- The main inner diameter is the same.- The main outer diameter is slightly larger.- There is also a "ridge" or "bevel" on the other side (not shown in the Amazon picture) to allow the gasket to fit over the tank discharge nut. The inner diameter of the bevel/ridge is slightly larger than the universal gaskets.- Some gaskets are "spongy" and some are "rubbery." This rubbery and isn't as squishy as the spongy ones.NOTE: The red universal gaskets appear to fit correctly for Gerber toilets, but you may get water drops on the floor each time the toilet is flushed. If you put the tank back on the base and it sits flush (without rocking from side to side) before tightening the tank down to the base, then your gasket is too small. With this green one, the tank rocks back and forth on the gasket until the tank is tightened all the way down... so you know it's compressing and sealing correctly. Don't over tighten or you could break the tank! This gasket came with a really nice one page diagram of a toilet and instructions. The instructions mention in a couple places not to over-tighten parts. If you've gotten far enough to know to purchase a toilet gasket, then the odds are pretty slim that you still need instructions... but it was a nice touch. Also, I noticed that the FluidMaster Universal kits come with pretty good instructions and specifically state that the gasket in those kits will not fit Gerber or Kohler toilets.

Measure old gasket to choose between 99-591 and 99-537.

Happy it fit!
My Gerber toilet has a stamp that says it was made in Aug 1980 with no model number. I originally tried to use the standard one that came with the FluidMaster All-in-one kit... don't bother trying as water will flow everywhere. The packaging said if the old gasket is in good condition it could be reused... it was iffy but I tried it anyway. Since it was unevenly compressed putting it back in the same position was not possible. There was some leakage with the old gasket but no plans to use it long term.I took a chance on ordering this gasket after reading multiple review on it.Only flushed a few times so far, but no leaks!Saved me at least a thousand dollars... because a new toilet would mean it's time to remodel the 1980's 1/2 bath. LOL

A lifesaver for Gerber 21-752
Like many others, I missed the fine print on the "universal" Fluidmaster rebuild kit, which states that the included tank-to-bowl gasket won't work with Gerber toilets. Not only that, but the correct Gerber tank-to-bowl gasket is apparently unavailable at any of the big box stores, and all of the plumbing supply stores in my area were either closed for the weekend or would have to order the part anyway. A frantic afternoon of research led me to this gasket. I ordered it, installed it, and it works perfectly. No more leaks, and I was spared the expense (and labor!) of installing a whole new toilet.Big kudos to the seller, though. I ordered this part late night on Friday (Prime shipping) and received it on Sunday, just in time to host my in-laws. Really saved my bacon. Thanks again!
