Logan A1 Whistle - Colours (blue)

I love this whistle it’s like a work of art and is a joy to use, it only took me a few goes to get used to the technique. There are instructions and YouTube videos. At the moment I only use it to call my collie. The whistle has a unique clear tone which travels a long way. I hope to practice with more ‘tunes’ in the hope I will be able to to control my dog at distance.

The media could not be loaded.  This is great, I can just about whistle a tune with it, and I don't get much opportunity to practise, they suggest that you wait until you have mastered it before you start moving voice commands to whistle (makes good sense) unfortunately I spend most of my time with Geoff so only get to practice when I'm driving to do the weekly shop on a Thursday night. A lot of the people you see in the park trying to train there dog with a whistle use one with a single tone, I don't know how a dog is expected to know what's going on if 5 different owners are blowing the same whistle, but with these shepherd whistles you create the tone and rhythm so your dog knows you are talking to him/her

I was a bit worried about how long it would take to learn to use it but just needed a quick practice in the car. I tend to whistle for the dog with my fingers in my mouth so I think the tongue position is fairly similar. My puppy responds well and I’m sure we will, in time, learn different signals together.The whistle is a very attractive design which is nice since It will be around my neck every day for the foreseeable future. I’ve also purchased a necklace extender with two lobster clasps so I can hook it onto whatever I’m wearing around my neck.

I perched this whistle for a friend as a Christmas gift, at first glance this whistle looks very durable and seems to be made out of a very strong material, I loved the wide selection of colours available. And although this product is not the cheapest on the market I very much recommend it to Anyone in need of a whistle.

My dog hears this from a good distance. My husband can’t make a sound , but I find it easy .
