Handicap Brass Expandable Door Hinges - Offset Hinges for Doors - 3 Pack

It would have been great if I would have been able to remove the old hinge and put this one in its place but its more squared corners required me to chisel a bit of door and door jam to fit the hinge. This is not unexpected as these type of things are not standardized but just know that you may have to do this depending on current hinge on door. To do this, I lined up the screw holes and then traced the outside of the hinge on the door and then chiseled away inside the marks. I then used old door hinge pins to knock these pins out so can attached hinge to door and door jam, put door in place and then put pins back in. Love that they do come in a three pack as all our doors have three hinges. The hinge is long enough clear the molding on the door jam. It worked out great. Will order for some other doors. It has been over a year a year and ordered more hinges for daughters home so her brother can enter bathroom without removing door. Now it is so much easier to visit and spend night at her family home as the door now opens wide enough to let the wheelchair in without taking it off the hinges!

These are helping me move wheelchair back & forth through doorway without rubbing against doorways. The holes did not quite line up with the holes from original hinges but adjustments were made so they fit.

Great product, looks good but may have to modify door and/or door jam to install as corners are less rounded than standard hinges, just providing advance notice for the novice installer.

Purchased thew to increase doorway clearance for a friend. Went in without any difficulty, replacing original hinges. Just make sure you get the right size for your doors and that the corners of the hinges match the original hinges for size and hinge corner treatment. Some have sharp corners, and some hinge corners are rounded (radiused). There are two standard radiuses used, so look carefully. Wish they came with new installation screws, but the old ones worked.

Easy to install. These are a godsend to those with someone in a wheelchair or walker so they do not have to be turned sideways to enter a room with a door. Thank you

A standard doorway of 32", but you might lose as much as 2" if the door can't open 180 degrees.That is where these offset hinges become invaluable! If the door only opens up 90 degrees, these hinges allow you to still maintain the full 32" opening.For people in wheelchairs, every inch of that opening is important. Although pricey, they are far cheaper than paying to have doorways opened to 36" and replacing door.These are sturdy and heavy hinges! I purchased 3 sets (3 hinges in each set....most other only have 2 hinges to a set. Have you ever seen a door that only used 2 hinges?) and nearly could not pick up the box left in front of my door!

We ordered the specific 3 pack on two separate occasions and only 2 hinges were inside. Listing a 2 pack and a 3 pack with a $10 difference, but nothing different in the packaging. Others have commented the same experience.
