This camera has an infrared filter fitted which can simply be removed for night vision use. Simply unscrew the lens mount from the pcb and take out the filter directly in front of the sensor. I did not look into the way the electromagnetic daylight/night filter worked as only using as a hand held night vision camera with small monitor and ir torch built as on unit. Very pleased with the quality and customer support prior to purchase.
