Smokie: The Untold Story

Don't waste your time or money!
You would have to be forgiven for assuming that this was written by Smokie hit maker Mike Chapman and maybe that was the idea in the first place? What you've got here is a rubbish effort, Only 15 pages of text, Interviews that have been around for years and freely available at other sources on the Internet. Why they call this 'the untold story' is beyond me? It's mostly a moanfest by Chris Norman whining over the 'cheek' of Smokie to continue without him, a band he left not once, but twice. The rest of this (dare I say it) book is comprised of badly reproduced photos and looks like something a student might create as a project for their GCSE'S.It wouldn't have done any favours for the student and it certainly won't do any favours for the 'writer'.Unless you are a serious collector then avoid this heap of garbage because it's literally not worth the paper it's written on.

Disappointing
I was lead to believe that this book entitled Smokie would be a story about the four Smokie members on the front cover and it would be full of interesting and of course historical information about them. But what I got was a 125 page book, which only contains 37 pages of information that is written in the form a question and answer. The rest of the book is full of poorly printed black and white photos with no explanation as to when they were taken. A poor buy and I wished that I had read the reviews before buying.

This is not by Mike Chapman. Printed by Amazon....a load of questions with answers on a few pages and test made up with bad quality black and white pictures .

Just not for me, sorry
I love Smokie but didn't enjoy this book at all. Not good value for money and all about Chris Norman who I appreciate was a founder member but maybe the book should have been named after him. Very disappointed.
