Good for the price...
This is basically OK for the price, and the 5-digit combination adds a considerable level of security over the usual 3 and 4-digit types. It's dead easy to change the combination (from the factory set '00000'), but will obviously be a bit more difficult to remember!.The first or last 5 digits of a phone number might be the easiest, or an extra digit added to a card PIN for example. The lock is just 'OK' quality-wise, with a bit of play in the shackle when closed, and even more once opened.Where it shines however is in the dialling of the numbers. The digits are clear and bold, with the '0' digits having a 4mm raised surface. This makes it really easy to turn the dials to the required settings, instead of the usual tight, knurled edges on flush dials which can be a bit of a pain to use (literally). How well it would stand up to the outside elements is anyone's guess, but for indoor use it would be fine. The cost has to be considered carefully with this lock (less than £8 at time of review), and although it's a bit wobbly around the shackle, the 5-digit facility and ease-of-use/value-for-money factor makes it a 5-Star item IMO.
