Great bluebird houses, or at least that's what my bluebirds tell me.
I purchased these bluebird houses after failing to motivate my husband into crafting our own. But these houses are very nice and built according to the Audubon specs. for bluebirds. They have an extra predator guard on them and I purchased additional copper plates that I screwed onto the openings, preventing larger birds and vermin from chewing the opening any larger. We already have several houses up around our property that the same bluebird families come back to year after year. It's a treat to watch them raise their fledglings and the parents and babes stay around until early fall. They hit our birdbaths around 5:00 each evening in large flocks...simply a burst of color. The houses are very simple and easy to clean out each spring. I take a cordless drill with a Phillips head on it and go around opening and raking out the old nests with my Cobra head digger. Once the screw is undone, the door just swings up and stays until I've finished cleaning, then I simply re-drill the screw back in. Easy-peasy. I'm quite pleased with the workmanship.

Pretty good birdhouses
I like these birdhouses. I gave them 4 stars only because they could have used better nails to put together. I had to reenforced with more nails and also added a perch nail on the front.

Had a pair of Bluebirds within 2 days
We love our bluebirds and have worked towards their success against declining numbers since my husband and I learned about them when we hiked the Appalation Trail in 1992. Every year we put out 8 houses on our property and we get 2-4 pair of bluebirds, and 4 pair of swallows. We usually make our own houses but this year we got caught a little behind, so after much research I bought 4 of these cedar bluebird houses and we are very happy with them. The cedar smells wonderful, and the thoughtful attention to detail makes them a great value for the price. I don’t think we’ll be making our own any more.

Good value for the money.
These are good birdhouses for the price. The flip up front is a nice feature for easy cleaning and being cedar they took the stain well.4 stars because they have not been sanded at all. They were rough cut with large splinters and breakout on every cut from the saw blade. Spending 3 minutes with a palm sander after assembly would improve then tremendously.

Wonderful product
Well made. Easy to put up. We love them . We had birds nest the spring and summer in every box. Including Blue Birds!

Shoddy, cheap-looking and not what I expected.
Poor quality wood used and poorly finished. I had to sandpaper the entrance hole so the birds would not impale themselves on splinters. Same with the inside of the box. Some wood was of good quality and other pieces were clearly scrap with knots and splits. It also looked like different people made the boxes some with care and others leaving gaps and poor fitting.Might be fine for birds after sanding, some caulking and smoothing out sharp edges-time will tell if birds use them. But not the quality I expected. Not sending back because I wanted to get them up but won’t buy again.

More ants than birds, may not last without modifications
Seems to attract more ants than birds, but it serves the purpose. Wren's took interest in one of the three boxes I hung, but I think ants drove the mother bird out before she laid any eggs. Squirrels chewed up the hole in another one and drove out some nuthatches, which was disappointing. I put a couple of ant poison traps inside the boxes - maybe that will help make them more habitable next season.UPDATE: the wood is rather thin on these boxes and I used roofing cement and some spare shingles on the roofs, as they started to crack the first year. I removed the hole protectors which were stapled on (and staples started to rust) and used coated screws to secure them in case I needed to replace them. Ants are less of a problem now that I have them mounted on metal posts. They do attract birds but there was some work to do to make them last.
