The buttons are just fine and I did not have any trouble penetrating the cloth with them but the clasp that fits on the back is not the best. They look like the ones that you would find on the back of a tie pin. Not heavy duty enough for pants that are worn often.

I've had a set of these for years and just bought these for my s-i-l, who just lost a healthy amount of weight. They really help keep one's wardrobe of pants fitting! Figure out if you want to replace the inner, or outer, button, and try them on to get the right placement. They stay real tight on the waistband with the metal pin, but are a little difficult to remove - so get it right the first time. I love frugal solutions like this!

I really love these. I have a small frame and a lot of times the smallest size pants still don't fit my waist quite right and I am not a fan of belts. The buttons go on easy and the concept is easy! The buttons did pop off a few times and this could very well be user error but it did feel pretty secure when I put the back on the button pin. Also, it is a bit tricky to take off. I'm still not sure I know how to get the back off 100%, just get lucky in my many attempts I think! Good product overall though and allows me to make my pants tighter or bigger very easily!

No directions included. I'm having trouble taking them apart, but I did get one placed on my jeans. They fit now. I've lost 23 lbs. This is cheaper than replacing the ones that I like

I bought this for my girlfriend because she always complains that her pants are too big lol and she loves them! I even stole a few for myself because they’re really handy. The only thing is that the needle doesn’t go through very thick pants. I have a pair of Walmart men’s jeans and it won’t go through the waist band. But overall, very good!

These worked well to tighten a pair of shorts that were too big! They went through the wash easily. Stayed on my shorts. Very easy to use and I highly recommend then to anyone that needs a bit more waste or a bit less.

Depend on the back of the button that goes into the fastener is way too long. It's actually painful to use these buttons because they're constantly poking into your abdomen. I would recommend just sewing. This was a shortcut I wish I hadn't taken
