TOAKS LIGHT Titanium 450ml Cup with Lid (ultralight version)

This is a cute little mug.1. There are markings inside the cup in oz and ml. However, the markings only go up to a cup, and not 1.5 cups. 1.5 cups is about the top of the “L” in ml. It would be nice if that had it’s own marking.2. You can boil water with it, but it’s so thin, that not every stove will work. A BRS 3000T will work, as well as a Soto Windmaster, but a Fire Maple Greenpeak won’t.The BRS 3000T was taking so long to boil water in the wind, that the bottom popped outward. I was able to push it back in.3. When boiling water, even if you turn the heat down so you are minimizing the flame spillage out the sides, it will heat up the short handles so hot you’ll have to fold a handkerchief over twice to be able to pick it up. Or you can wait 60 seconds and then pick it up. I wouldn’t bother trying to get the plasticky tubes as insulation, as the YouTube channel Gear Skeptic found out with a different stove with short handles that they got so hot they got brittle and fell apart. So just use a double-folded handkerchief.4. It’s amazing how quickly titanium, like this mug, cools down after pouring out boiling water.5. It easily goes inside a 750 ml pot, like the Fire Maple G3 Petrel. However, there isn’t enough room for both this mug and a 110 g / 4 oz fuel canister.6. I don’t know when I will ever use the lid, as it just doesn’t make that much difference with boiling times, but I went ahead and spent the extra $4 to get it.7. When drinking hot coffee, the mug itself is much hotter than a regular coffee cup, I think.8. Measurements:Cup is 1.69 oz, lid is 0.49 oz, bag is 0.50 oz.78.9 mm interior width, 79.9 exterior width, 85.4 exterior width at rim, 87.1 exterior width at handle, 89 mm deep, 3.0 mm lip thickness, 89.8 mm highA collapsible cup, like the Ozark Trail cup, is 2.1 oz, so this is lighter than that. But that cup doesn’t take up as much space, and you can buy four of them with plates and spoons for $14. But this is better, and you feel like you’re a cowboy in the 1800’s or something. I like it a lot.
