G R E A T Dog Couch
I got this for my dog, Lucy, so she could have somewhere besides a lap to sit in when we are in the den enjoying the fireplace. She has a, 'donut bed', in the living room that she loves, but this dog couch may be overtaking that as her favorite. Here are my thoughts: PROS: - The egg-crate cushion design provides my dog a soft, but supportive resting spot. Lucy weighs about 20lbs and as you can see in the pictures, she doesn't sink in even when she puts all of her weight on her rear end and sits down. The cushion gives a little, but provides her plenty of support. - The dog couch has a nice outer lining that is easy to clean. Lucy sheds some and certain material will grab onto her hair like a magnet - not this dog couch, it vacuums up easily. The material feels soft to the touch and is a combination of very short velour-type material on the sides and bolsters, along with a short, 'furry', feeling top. - The dog couch cover is very easy to remove, with a single zipper around the bottom to remove the main pad and a single zipper around the 3-sided bolster to remove the 3 bolster cushions. Once the cushions are out, this can go right into the washing machine in a cold wash cycle. - The bottom of the dog couch has little, 'nubs', and a, 'grippy', surface so the dog couch doesn't slide. - The 29" x 18" x 6" size of this dog bed is perfect for my dog. It is just big enough that she can sprawl out, but also small enough that she can feel the bolsters when she sleeps. I think having the bolsters to lean against makes her feel more comfortable. - The dog couch description mentions that there is a waterproof layer in the shell of the dog couch. I haven't tested the waterproofing, but I have felt the cover as I was putting it together, and it felt like it had some type of other material besides the cloth. So, I believe that it is waterproof. CONS: - None yet...I've been analyzing this dog couch to see what could be better and for me and Lucy, I can't find any fault. BOTTOM LINE: - Great dog couch that comes in many different sizes to suit your dog(s). It seems to be fairly priced, especially considering how much the dog beds at the pet stores cost. This is a higher quality dog couch than the ones that are in the big box stores like Wm and about at the same price point.

9 year old German Shep Lab Review..
I got this for my dog whose getting older, and with the breeds she's mixed with she has the chance of having arthritis. First - shipping came within a few days. Second - it came in a small box which I was a little surprised at, but not surprised if that makes any sense. I pulled everything out of the box and saw that they had vacuum sealed it all and you have to it together, which is fine. Instead of opening everything and letting it all sit for a few hours to expand to actual size I decided to unpackage everything and put it together. The cover of the dog bed is actually very nice quality and tough. On the bottom there are "grippes" so it doesn't slide around. I don't foresee my big old baby destroying that any time soon. The bed itself that goes inside the cover seemed to also be very nice quality but a pain in the bum to put inside of the cover. It was definitely a work out for putting those to together. Lastly I had to put the "siding" in the cover as well which I was confused by at first but after looking at it - it sure made sense. So far both of my dogs and my cat really like and enjoy this bed. I will have to update later once I wash it.

For when the granddog comes to visit
Sometimes the granddog comes to visit, and I wanted to have a place for him, so I got this bed. You need to air out the mattress after removing the vacuum seal, which is to be expected. You can see the egg crate texture in the first picture. The odor was not a deterrent for the granddog, although as you can see from the first picture, he was a bit confused.Once the cover was put on, the granddog immediately hopped on to the dog bed excited to try it out. He is very confused (notice a theme?) about the raised sides, however it's teaching him how to lay on a dog bed, which is nice. He has a tendency to hang off the side of his flat bed at his house, not because the bed is too small, but because who knows why? The large size of this bed fits him, which is also nice! My main concern is due to the thickness; it's thinner than I expected. I'm not sure how well it will hold up over time due to the padding, which is two to three inches thinner than other dog beds I've seen.It was easy to put together and feels good to the touch. Making sure to air it out is key because the smell is strong immediately after the vacuum sealing, which is to be expected. If there's any residual odor, it doesn't bother the granddog, and that's what's important.

Perfect for my large dogs
I always used to buy this style of bed made by Serta, but I can't find them anymore, so I ordered this one instead. My big dogs like this kind of bed -- a soft cushion to lie on and bolsters on 3 sides to rest their head and body against. The materials are nice. The bottom of the bed is soft and cozy and the fabric bolsters are sturdy without being uncomfortable. I like that the outside parts of the bed can be unzipped from the foam and washed and dried, as my dogs beds do need washing from time to time. This is a nice bed and both of my dogs (each in the 50-60 pound range) take turns in it (I have several large dog beds in the living room and they take turns in all of them). Some of the beds were getting worn out and funky, so I will be throwing the oldest one away and replacing it with this nice new bed.

Be careful when you chose based off picture.
I disliked the fact that you had to let it sit out for 2 days and then put it together your self.
