Esmeyer "Simon Expandable Cutlery Tray, Brown

I bought this to fill an awkwardly sized drawer in a dresser. The insert is pretty light in weight and the dividers between sections are very thin and flex easily if you push them. It isn't exactly flimsy but I have another insert which is in beech and that is certainly more robust. I don't think it makes much difference, though, once the insert is in the drawer so I can't see any great problem. The finish is good and the individual compartments are of a sensible size to take standard sized cutlery, with the long side pieces suitable for larger items such as cooking utensils, cake slices, etc.. So overall a decent purchase.

Really pleased with this item which came in perfect condition, albeit I read one buyer said hers was broken when it arrived. Mine was perfectly packaged with no problem whatsoever, the adjustable part of the tray sliding in and out easily. The only request I would make to the supplier, please, is to give its measurements, either in inches (for Neanderthals like me who glaze over if it is in anything but), and cm's/mm's for anyone born after the move away from standard English measurements - that will please everybody. But measurements we must have - closed or extended; would be a great help. From the stance of my purchase arriving perfectly, I would definitely recommend - and the company, too, who supplied it and would have faith in buying from them again.

I had already ordered two of these very useful cutlery boxes when the seller informed that their supplier was no longer going to provide them - was given a full refund and looked for two more - I found them but via two different sellers.I like them very much - they are light and have a nice feel about them. As I now have two, I can sort all my cutlery I need to store in the trays as I wish. I have one fully extended and the other with just 5 cavities.I like the fact that it is light and slides easily in and out of the drop door cabinet I keep my cutlery in and on.A very good buy - both [at different times] arrived in time and undamaged

I am pretty pleased with this product. It is fairly weighty, has enough sections for all my cutlery and is easy to clean. Unfortunately it isn't deep enough to sit snugly in the draw so does slide back and forth when the draw is opened and closed but may draws may be deeper than average.

The first time I bought this it was excellent and fitted perfectly into the drawer, measured exactly as stated. That was in September 2015.I reordered this in February this year. I went the original order and ordered it through 'Buy it Again'. When it came it was a different colour and bigger , so obviously it doesn't fit the drawer!! Didn't return it as I can use it elsewhere, but not impressed with it. I did actually expect it to be the same size!

This cutlery tray is a nice quality wood and is large enough to it all our cutlery. My only wish is that it would stay expanded. It seems to slip back a little when cutlery is removed. Thinking about adding something on the back to keep it fully expanded.

item arrived damaged: the joint in one of the corners was damaged and needed glueing back together.However, it looks lovely in the cutlery drawer. Very practical as it can be extended or closed according to use, needs and available drawer space.Material used is a laminate not solid wood.

Fits the drawer in my kitchen without extending it. Looks good and feels sturdy. Four points because I think it is a bit expensive for £20 (however the price is now £17 (approx). Typical!
