JIA Inc. Steam Poacher for Steamer Set (Large)

I had used it twice now but both cookings had failed. The food (Chicken and vegetables) in the poacher were dry and hard after 3 hours of cooking. The steam hardly got cumulated in the poacher. There were only a level of about ⅓ soup in the poacher. I tried to stuff wet towels on the edge of the pot under the poacher trying to block steam coming out from the edge so they’ll go through the funnel. Didn’t work. It’s a mistake to buy a non traditional steamer pot like this. I should’ve just got an old fashioned one.
