The quality of these are pretty decent. I normally wear an 8 and sized up half, but I could have stayed with the size 8 in these. The 8 1/2 gives me a little bit of space that is not really needed, but it still fits. There is not a lot of padding in the footbed area, but if you don't have a trouble wearing flat shoes you should be fine.
